The following is a list of all the in-battle themes present in the Final Fantasy series: Random encounter battle themes, Boss battle themes, specific Boss battle themes and Final Boss themes, etc..

"Battle Scene" for exclusive battle theme in the NES and MSX versions and random encounter theme for the latest versions
"Inside the Boss Battle" for minor boss battle theme.
"Boss Battle A" for the battles against Lich and Kraken in versions more recent than MSX.
"Boss Battle B" for the battles against Marilith and Tiamat in versions more recent than MSX.
"Last Battle" for the final battle theme in versions more recent than MSX.
"Battle 2" (Final Fantasy III) for battles against Earthgift Shrine bosses in the PSP version.
"Battle 2" (Final Fantasy IV) for battles against Hellfire Chasm bosses in the PSP version.
"Battle 2" (Final Fantasy V) for battles against Lifespring Grotto bosses in the PSP version.
"Clash on the Big Bridge" for the battle against Gilgamesh in the PSP version.
"Decisive Battle" (Final Fantasy VI) for the battle against Whisperwind Cove bosses in the PSP version.

On the first six installments of the main series the total number of battle themes that appeared only in-battle present in each game corresponded to the game's number. This was stopped after Final Fantasy VI when Final Fantasy VII included over seven distinct battle themes.
