Linen Cuirass (リネンキュラッサ, Rinen Kyurassa?), also known as Cuirass, is a recurring armor in the series. It is often a low-ranked armor, and usually provides no special bonuses aside from its Defense bonus.

Linen Cuirass is the second weakest armor, with Bronze Armor being the weakest. It can only be used by Steiner and Freya, and provides +10 Defense, +1 Magic, and teaches Cover. It can be bought in Lindblum (disc 1/2), Burmecia, Summit Station, and Treno for 800 gil or stolen from Black Waltz 3.
Linen Cuirass is a low-ranked armor that requires 30 LP to use, and provides +13 Defense and +4 Strength. It can be bought from Rabanastre, and the Tomb of Raithwall for 1900 gil and dropped Wyvern (3% chance), and Bellwyvern (3% chance).

The Cuirass is the weakest heavy armor providing +28 Defense and +2 Resistance. It can be bought for 400 gil or received as a reward for "Mixed" Treasure Hunts.
