FF7 Bolt ring

Bolt Ring in Final Fantasy VII.

A ring that slightly reduces any thunder damage sustained by the wearer. The stone residing in its center evokes the image of a flashing bolt of lightning, and it has the ability to weaken the power of thunder. However, it cannot completely protect the wearer from thunder attacks, nor absorb their energy. Although some believe that wearing the spark ring will help them avoid being struck by lightning, it unfortunately has no such effect.

Lightning Ring (雷の指輪, Kaminari no Yubiwa?), also known as Thunder Ring, NulShock Ring, Bolt Ring, Spark Ring, and Yellow Ring, is a recurring accessory in the Final Fantasy series. It either absorbs or nullifies the Lightning element to the user.

Etymology[]

Lightning is a sudden electrostatic discharge during an electrical storm between electrically charged regions of a cloud (called intra-cloud lightning or IC), between that cloud and another cloud (CC lightning), or between a cloud and the ground (CG lightning).
