Lightning Bow (ライトニングボウ, Raitoningu Bō?), also known as Thunder Bow (雷の弓矢, Ikazuchi no Yumiya?) or Bolt Bow, is a recurring bow in the series. It is often a mid-ranked bow that is Lightning-elemental, and generally appears around the same time the Flame Bow and Ice Bow appears, sometimes a little earlier or later depending on the game.

Final Fantasy Tactics

Lightning Bow is a low to mid-ranked bow that provides 6 Attack and can cast Thundara on hit when attacking with it. It can be bought for 3,000 gil at an Outfitter after meeting with Cardinal Delacroix at Lionel Castle during Chapter 2, or found as rare treasure at Clockwork City of Goug.

Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light

The Lightning Bow can be bought in Spelvia (After Darkness) for 960 gil. The bow has an attack of 8, and is Light-elemental that can inflict paralysis upon attacking.

Lightning Bow is a low to mid-ranked bow that provides 35 Attack, 15 Hit Rate, and is both Lightning-elemental and Wind-elemental.

Etymology

Lightning is a sudden electrostatic discharge during an electrical storm between electrically charged regions of a cloud (called intra-cloud lightning or IC), between that cloud and another cloud (CC lightning), or between a cloud and the ground (CG lightning).

Thunder is the sound caused by lightning. Depending on the distance and nature of the lightning, thunder can range from a sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble (brontide).
