Leap Frog (リーチフロッグ, Rīchi Furoggu?, lit. Leech Frog), sometimes called Speartongue, is a recurring enemy in the series.

Leap Frogs appear as enemies on various islands in the World of Ruin. They are one of the few enemies that can use Jump and they can inflict the Sap status using Tongue. Strago can learn the Lore Rippler from them.
Final Fantasy XII

Speartongues appear as beast/toad-type enemies in the Zertinan Caverns. Weaker versions of the enemy appear outside the cavern's entrances in the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. They can give themselves and surrounding enemies the Regen status by using the ability Angelsong. They can also fully restore their HP by using Magick Ballad.
