Laragorn is a boss from the game Final Fantasy VI. He, Curlax, and Moebius make up the Three Dream Stooges.

[edit] Strategy

The threesome can cast Delta Attack when they are all alive, which inflicts Petrify on a target and always hits barring immunity, so equipping Ribbons and Jewel Rings are in order. Curlax should be the first to die, as it uses Arise to revive his dead siblings if he does not die first. Curlax is weak to Ice, so Blizzara and Blizzaga spells work well. He is also vulnerable to Sleep, so take advantage of that. Moebius should go down next. He can cast Haste to speed him and his brothers up, as well as Thundaga. He has no weakness, but he absorbs Lightning, so he may take a few hits to take down. He can, however, be Stopped. Larry should be saved for last, as he can run away at times. He attacks with Blizzaga, and is weak to Fire, so Fira and Firaga work well. He is also vulnerable to Instant Death.

[edit] Etymology

  • In the Japanese version, their names really indicate they are the Dream Stooges. Moebius is named Sueño (スエーニョ Suēnyo), Laragorn is named Sogno (ソーニョ Sōnyo), and Curlax is named Rêve (レーヴ Rēve). The names mean "dream" in Spanish, Italian, and French, respectively.
  • The group names in the SNES version are a reference to the American Slapstick comedy trio, the Three Stooges, who were known as Larry, Curley and Moe.
