The Land Worm is a rare enemy from Final Fantasy X which is located Inside Sin. It is the only enemy outside the Monster Arena and Dark Aeons from which Dark Matter can be received, by way of a 2 Million Gil Bribe. Owing to its rarity, Land Worm is not required for the Arena and cannot be Captured; in fact, it would be incredibly rare to encounter 10 of these monsters in a single game, and the only area where you are capable of encountering Land Worms cannot be returned from, thus making their capture pointless.

Land Worm's attacks are mainly physical. It will Headbutt one character for Physical damage and after suffering at least 10 attacks it will Swallow a random character, removing them from the battlefield. Shortly after it will Regurgitate the character, causing heavy damage and Delay. Its signature attack is Earthquake which inflicts heavy Magic-based damage, however Land Worm takes one round to prepare, allowing the party to buff themselves.

Land Worm will drop armor with HP +10% and Auto-Potion. It will also drop weapons with Slowtouch or Slowstrike and Strength/Defense +5%.
