Land Turtle (ランドタートル, Randotātoru?), also known as LandTurtle, Turtle, Spiketoise, or Great Tortoise, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series.

Final Fantasy II[]

Land Turtles appear as enemies in many areas, first appearing as a monster-in-a-box encounter in Semitt Falls, guarding a Teleport Tome. It later appears in Kashuan Keep, Deist, Deist Cavern, and in the Dreadnought area. It has high resistance to physical attacks and is weak to ice.

Final Fantasy III[]

The Land Turtle appears as the game's first boss in Altar Cave. It is fought only by Luneth in the 3D remake, but is fought by the full party in the original NES version.

Final Fantasy V[]

Land Turtles appear as enemies on the world map around Moore. They are weak to ice and can only use physical attacks. They will always drop a Turtle Shell.
