WotV Seductive Serpent, Lamia Queen Vision Card

Seductive Serpent, Lamia Queen.

Half human and half serpent, the lamia is a fearsome creature. Much worse is it salacious leader, the Lamia Queen. While lamiae often feature bewitching femininie traits, the Lamia Queen in particular is said to be unrivaled in her beauty. Many have been seduced simply by hearing about her in legend. Such impressionable souls no doubt end up as her brainwashed pets—that is until she grows bored and swallows them whole.

Etymology[]

In Greek mythology, Lamia was a beautiful Libyan queen who turned into a child-eating demon. She is often referred to as having the lower half of a snake and sometimes a large mouth (lamia in Greek means "large shark", while laimos means gullet).

Later characteristics attributed to her are similar to that of succubi, in that the lamia seduces men, enticing them to feed on their blood. It is said they reside in towers or secluded areas and have magical abilities.
