Kuja is fought as a boss in Final Fantasy IX at Pandemonium. He casts Thundaga and Demi, and after sufficiently depleting his HP, he will cast Ultima and end the battle. If the player uses attacks that target his MP, he will use Flare Star, which is capable of taking out the whole party and ending the game. He will also use Flare Star if you have the Reflect status. It's a good idea just use physical and non-magical attacks so Kuja won't use Flare Star against the party.
