FF4PSP Cid PortraitCid: Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Knight (Final Fantasy III) page!
Please expand this article into a full one. This can be done by making a 2D and 3D weapon/armor table like here. Equipment stats do not belong here since the weapons/armor should link to their respectable list of Final Fantasy III weapon/armor page.. This request can be discussed on the associated discussion page.

III

FF3-Knight
FF3-NES-Knight
Knights take pride in their defense. Their Defend ability allows them to step in and take damage for weakened allies. And they can use white magic, too!
—In-game description
The bearer of this certificate has demonstrated indomitable courage and bravery in battle and is deemed worthy of the title of Master Knight.
—In-job mastery certificate description

The Knight (ナイト, Naito?) is a job class in Final Fantasy III. It is gained from the Fire Crystal. Knights are mighty warriors who are experts in close-range combat. They are dependable allies who can defend themselves, as well as shield fellow party members during harsh ordeals. Knight is considered a powered up version of the Warrior job.

AbilitiesEdit

Famicom versionEdit

  • Command Ability - None

Though if a Knight uses Defend command, s/he will only suffer 1 damage.

The Knight will automatically take physical attacks for any allies in critical status.

Remake versionEdit

Level White Magic
1 Cure Poisona Sight
  • Command Ability - Defend

Unlike the Famicom version, this command has the defensive bonus by job level and is calculated using the following formula:

\text{Damage Received} = \text{Original Damage} \times \left(1 - \frac{2 + \text{JobLvl}/100}{5} \right)

Job level ranges between 1 and 99 so the Knight receives between 58% damage and 40.2% damage when defending.

  • Support Ability - Cover

Same as the Famicom version.
