Jyscal Guado, known as Lord Jyscal, is a non-player character from Final Fantasy X and its sequel, Final Fantasy X-2.

[edit] Early Life
Jyscal was the leader of the Guado, as well as a Maester of Yevon, who married a human woman, furthering relationships with the Guado and Yevonites. He was apparently revered throughout Spira. His marriage resulted in a half-breed son, Seymour Guado, who was not accepted well by the Guado. Seymour and his mother were sent to the palace at Baaj, where Seymour was trained in the ways of a Summoner and took his mother's Aeon, Anima. The power of the Aeon gave Seymour terrible ideas about life and death, hope and despair and he slowly formed a plan to destroy Spira.

Returning to Guadosalam and gaining his people's trust and admiration, Seymour killed his father to succeed him as Maester. Lord Jyscal's soul was subsequently sent to the Farplane, but most unusually, he returned for a few moments to the world of the living to give Yuna a sphere documenting Seymour's evil task. He then is sent once more by Yuna. Jyscal's Sphere reveals to the party Seymour's true nature, and after watching, Yuna resolves to marry Seymour and force him to turn himself in for Jyscal's murder.

Two years after the defeat of Sin, Pacce locates a mysterious dungeon located under Bevelle. Yuna, Rikku, and Paine traverse this labyrinth, the Via Infinito, and discover Jyscal's soul trapped there, along with several others such as that of Maester Kinoc, Yunalesca, and Lord Zaon.
