- A petition has been submitted for the hunting of Ixion (Rank 6). The petitioner is the Whitecap wench in Balfonheim.
- Hunt accepted. The Whitecap wench had been having bad dreams on account of said legendary fiend, and wants you to slay it. Ixion can be found in Ridorana.
- Ixion defeated! Report to the Whitecap wench.
- Hunt reported. The Whitecap wench richly rewarded you for securing her a restful night of sleep at last.

Being a variety of Nightmare, oft told in the Legends of Ridorana. Having the power to turn the Dreams of Men to Terrors, then feeding off its Victims' Anguish. The petitioner of this hunt is a Woman caught nightly by the Dreams, and unable to sleep.
[edit] Finding Ixion
Ixion can be easily found at Pharos at Ridorana, Subterra, on the first floor called Penumbra. The lift must be taken upwards. If there are other monsters around, take the lift down and try again until there are no enemies around. Run around the circle for a while. Ixion will show up. It will be a good fight.
[edit] Battle
Interestingly, if you fight Ixion in the circular section, he'll have less HP. His standard attack isn't really devastating. However, he does chain often and hits quite fast. He also likes to cast Dispelga, which reduces your advantages. So, buffs should be cast as often as possible. He can also use Fearga, which reduces your MP drastically. Aside from that, he has a plethora of status-inflicting Magick. So, bring a lot of X-Potions and curative items. If you try to inflict any type of status on Ixion, he can cast Purify, which removes all his status ailments. If you're at a high level challenging Ixion, you can Berserk him. This stops him from casting Purify. Also, Silence him just to be safe. However, make sure you finish Ixion quickly when his HP gets low. He hits hard and fast. His most damaging attack, Thundaga, can hurt alot. A Rubber Suit or Zodiac Escutcheon should be brought, just in case.
