This article is in need of a few pictures. Perhaps you can help by uploading a picture of an image of item magic on the menu for the right.

Item magic is a form of magic usable in Final Fantasy IV that is an alternative to casting Black Magic or White Magic. Instead, item magic is cast by use of certain weapons, and accessible from the item menu.

The weapon must be equipped, and unlike real magic spells, these spells do not cost MP. All spells can be reflected, except for the Dancing Dagger spell. Item magic spells target a single enemy. Item magic's spell names are hidden as when the player uses an item, the name used will be that of the name of the item which overrides the spell name. Item magic can be used even if the user is silenced.

In the 3D remake versions of Final Fantasy IV, item magic's power increases and decreases with the modification of the Spirit and Intelligence stats and spells are classified into either White Magic or Black Magic; Heal, Basuna, and Poisona are considered White Magic, while Mage Arrows and Dancing Dagger are Black Magic spells.

Those listed below lacks one of those three in order to function properly.
