Imperial Guard (インペリアルガード, Inperiaru Gādo?), also known as Imperial Armlet, is a recurring armor in the series.

VII Imperial Guard is a high-ranked armor that provides 82 Defense, 74 Magic Defense, and has three linked materia slots with Normal growth. It can be obtained by defeating CMD.Grand Horn in the final Fort Condor battle or found in Northern Cave.

An imperial guard or palace guard is a special group of troops (or a member thereof) of an empire, typically closely associated directly with the Emperor or Empress. Usually these troops embody a more elite status than other imperial forces, including the regular armed forces, and maintain special rights, privileges and traditions.
