Ifrit is a boss enemy in Final Fantasy X-2. It is one of the aeons which must be battled. It is fought in Kilika Temple during Chapter 3.

[edit] Strategy

Dark Ifrit will start to cause problems - Meteor Strike hits one for 500 damage, 'Smash' is worth 200 to one, Firaga 300 to all and Hell Fire 500 to all girls. Unfortunately, it appears that Dark Ifrit doesn't have a set attack pattern, sadly, making him unpredictable, but with a big chunk of Hi-Potions you've brought along it isn't a problem to keep your HP up.

Prior to battling this guy check you acc and see if you have any fire resistant accessories stuffed in there. If you do, make sure to equip those acc - you've just rendered 50% of Dark Ifrit's attacks weaker or completely obsolete. Only thing left to worry about is 'swipe' (Protect white magic) and Meteor Strike (Shell white magic).

Bring in white mage and two dark knights. Have the white mage cast Shell on everybody, and you may also want to employ using Protect just in case, then keep up Cura/ga on all girls tech, while dark knights slowly chip away at Dark Ifrit's HP until it's defeated.

Another method is to equip everyone with the "Heart of Flame" Garment Grid, therefore making them absorb all fire damage. Have a White Mage or Alchemist give everyone Shell and Protect, use Hastega/Chocobo Wing, and have a pair of Dark Knights repeatedly use Darkness. This way, Ifrit will take care of healing for you whenever he casts Hellfire or Firaga.
