Ifrit is a boss in Final Fantasy V. The party encounter him in the basement of the Library of the Ancients, and need his help to progress further into the library.

This is like the Liquid Flame fight, since Ifrit likes to attack the whole party with fire magic. Equipment to reduce the damage would be a good idea. Have Black Mages cast Blizzara, while your Mystic Knights use Blizzara Sword. If you have her, Shiva will also do a fair amount of damage. This battle shouldn't take long as long as you keep casting Blizzard magic.
