The Ice Flan is an enemy from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates.

Much like other Flans, they are highly resistant to physical damage and will attack with a headbutt if the player is in range.
When picked up, stood upon, or if the player is out of reach of their headbutt, Ice Flans will try to cast Blizzara on the player, which can inflict Freeze, making them highly dangerous due to the presence of other, highly dangerous enemies such as the Dark Bat and Dark Skeleton.
If possible, it is best to deal with them by picking them up and carrying them out of range of other enemies so that the player can wall slam them repeatedly against walls, as long as they are quick to react and stay out of the range of the Ice Flan's Blizzara spells.
Etymology[]
The word Flan refers to an open pastry or sponge cake containing a sweet or savory filling. A typical flan of this sort is round, with shortcrust pastry, usually coated with sweet syrup. It is similar to a custard tart or a South African melktert.
