Hornet is a special enemy in Final Fantasy X, created in the Species Conquest at Monster Arena when five of each Wasp-species fiends have been captured.

Hornet has high Agility and Luck stats, in addition to being a flying enemy, and can be quite difficult to hit. Lowering its Luck with the special ability Jinx will be helpful, as well as using Aim on the party.

This monster has several dangerous attacks. The normal attack will inflict Silence, Sleep, or Darkness and also has a high chance of an Instant Kill. Bewitching Stab will inflict most statuses and heavy damage while Venomous Stab will inflict Poison on its victim. It can also use Curaga on itself.

Hornet will drop weapons with Strength bonus +5%, +10%, or +20%, and armor with Defense bonuses +5%, +10%, or +20%.
