The Hecteyes is a boss from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, fought in the Mine.

BattleEdit

The Hecteyes is Poison-elemental, attacking with Slow, Gravity, and Poison-inflicting bubbles, along with a hopping attack. The Hecteyes can poison the water with its tail, noticeable when either it or the water turns green. When it sticks to the wall, its underside is vulnerable, but it can still poison the water. When enough damage has been done, the Hecteyes will fall into the water, exposing its weak point, allowing characters to jump step on it until it flips back up.

EtymologyEdit

"Hecto" or "Hecta" is a prefix used in the metric system to denote a factor of one hundred. "Hecteyes" refers to the creature's numerous eyes.
