FFX-2 Haymaker

Haymaker as seen in Final Fantasy X-2.

Haymaker (つきあげる, Tsukiageru?), also known as Hay Maker, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. In all of its appearances prior to Final Fantasy XIV, it has only appeared as an ability used by enemies. It is a non-elemental, powerful, physical attack usually used by larger-sized enemies.


Final Fantasy VIEdit

Originally titled Hay Maker, Haymaker is an enemy ability in Final Fantasy VI that can only used by one enemy, the Great Behemoth. It is a powerful physical attack.

Final Fantasy XEdit

Haymaker is an enemy ability used by every member of the Defender machina genus. Haymaker is a powerful physical attack.

Final Fantasy X-2Edit

Haymaker appears in the sequel, Final Fantasy X-2, used by the same genus of enemies. YSLS-99 and YSLS-Zero can use the attack which hits twice for moderate damage.

Final Fantasy XIEdit

Haymaker appears as an enemy ability in Final Fantasy XI. Accessible by one member of the Troll family, the High Notorious Monster, Gurfurlur the Menacing. Haymaker is a strong physical punch that hits enemies close in front, also inflicting the Amnesia status.

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant WingsEdit

The Haymaker ability appears is a relatively weak non-elemental attack. Only used by Minotaur, the ability deals melee damage to one target.

Final Fantasy XIVEdit

Delivers a melee attack. Can only be used immediately after evading an attack. Chance to inflict Stun.

Haymaker is a physical attack usable by the Pugilist class unlocked at level 10. Used immediately after evading an attack, it damages opponent with a potency of 170 and inflicts Slow +20% for 12 seconds.
