Paradigm Pack

Like most of its brethren, the Grand Behemoth has high Strength. With a purely Power material growth, the Grand Behemoth can get close to 1,200 Strength. However, its physical attack speed is lackluster. On the other hand, it has an impressive casting speed, albeit the Magic stat does not rise to levels akin of its Strength.

This makes Grand Behemoth a Strength-based Strike Ravager, only more advantageous than Magic-based Ravagers against the surprisingly small list of enemies that are strong against Magic but weak to elemental damage, like Malebranche and Wladislaus. Like Zaghnal, it has two types of elemental Blitzes, which puts it one up on Tabasco Toad and Blue Chocobo with one, and Koboldroid Yang with none. Furthermore, Grand Behemoth's maximum Strength is the highest of the five. However, any Ravager with, for example, Sparkstrike, is only one Enthunder buff away from using the equivalent of Electro Blitz for only one ATB segment instead of two.

Grand Behemoth is one of two creatures with Auto-Tetradefense, which casts Protect, Shell, Veil, and Vigilance at the start of combat. It is red-locked for Grand Behemoth, but Tezcatlipoca has it available for infusion.

Etymology

Behemoth is a beast mentioned in Job 40:15–24. In addition to mythological creatures, it is likened to dinosaurs, especially sauropods, as well as elephants, hippos, rhinos, and bison. Metaphorically, the term behemoth denotes "an extremely large or powerful entity".
