The Goblin Guard, also known as GrIMP in the NES version, is an enemy in the original Final Fantasy. They are stronger than the regular Goblin, doubling the Goblin's health and attack, but still do not pose any sort of threat as they can be defeated easily, even without a strong party. It is a palette swap of the regular Goblin, with purple coloration instead of brown, and possessing a blue vest.

Etymology Edit

A goblin is a small, mischievous creature found in many European folk tales and legends. The word "goblin" comes from the Norman French word Gobelinus, the name of a ghost that haunted the town of Évreux in the 12th century.
