The Giant Toad is a boss in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. Appearing as a large, toad-like creature, the Giant Toad likes to hide in its pond. Its weakness is located on its belly. It is the only boss of Ice Mountain.

The Giant Toad utilizes the Freeze status the most, mainly from bubbles that it shoots from the pond as well as a Frost Breath, and can inflict Poison by attacking with its tongue. It may also jump out of the pond and land on character to inflict damage. All of the attacks are simple enough to dodge however.

In order to force the Giant Toad to expose its weak point, which is located on its belly, the player must either deal enough damage to it to flip it over, or use a Freeze Pot, located on the upper right area of the battlefield, on the pond while the boss is in it to force it to flip over. Non-Selkies will have to jump up on its legs and then to its belly to attack its weakspot, while Selkies can simply double-jump to the spot. Overall, the boss is not very difficult and the player should not take much damage during the battle.
