Template:Sideicon Template:FFXIII Enemy The Gelatitan is a mark in Final Fantasy XIII. It is the first of six marks that must be defeated within Taejin's Tower to ascend to the top. The Menhirrim that gives out the mission (Mission 21) is located on the tower's Second Tier.
A group of Gelatitans are later fought in Mission 60, as part of the Cie'th Stone circle grouping that, once every mission in the circle has been completed, will unleash Shaolong Gui and Long Gui on the Archylte Steppe.
Battle
As they are weak against Lightning damage, a group of Ravagers can bring them down quickly.
Etymology
Its name refers to gelatin, a translucent, colourless, brittle (when dry), flavourless foodstuff derived from collagen obtained from various animal by-products. It is commonly used as a gelling agent in food, pharmaceuticals, photography, and cosmetic manufacturing. It is found in most gummy candy as well as other products such as marshmallows, gelatin dessert, and some ice cream, dip and yogurt.
It is named as such as Flan type enemies' names refer to desserts. The name may also be a portmanteau with the word "titan" referring to its size.
