The Garuda Interceptor is a boss in Final Fantasy XIII. It is fought in Lake Bresha by Lightning, Sazh, and Vanille.
Battle
The Garuda Interceptor is faced in two consecutive battles. During the first fight it has a low chain resistance, and it is easy to stagger. In the second battle the creature raises several barriers around itself, making it harder to damage.
Strategy
In the first battle Sazh and Lightning can concentrate on attacking while Vanille heals. In the second battle the party should still attempt to focus on staggering through the use of two Ravagers.

Garuda is a large, birdlike creature that appears in both Hinduism and Buddhism. It serves as Lord Vishnu's mount and is the Hindu name for the constellation Aquila. Contemporary representations of Garuda are the brahminy kite and phoenix.
