Gargantua is an optional boss in Final Fantasy VIII found in Ultimecia Castle armory. It initially appears as a Vysage. If the player missed it earlier, they can draw the Guardian Force Cerberus from it.

BattleEdit

Gargantua uses Counter-twist to counter any physical attacks on the attacker. It is a critical attack move. Evil Eye causes damage along with inflicting Slow and Curse.

An easy way to defeat Gargantua is to have one member of the party have the Recover ability, have someone cast Zombie onto Gargantua and then hit him with Recover.
