Dissidia Final Fantasy (2008)Edit
Galuf makes a cameo as a tutor from the in-game manuals. He is directly mentioned by Bartz (though not by name) in dialogue in Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy as one of the few things Bartz remembers from his original world.
Galuf appears as a playable character.
Galuf's memories return at the sight of his beloved granddaughter, and his duty with them. When he fails to prevent Exdeath's revival, this proud old soldier is overcome with regret, eventually ending up back in his own world...
Galuf appears as an unlockable character, and is obtained by collecting Silver Crystal Shards. His appearance is based off one of his artworks by Yoshitaka Amano, in which he dons gauntlets on his arms as opposed to his red gloves.
Galuf is an excellent choice for both field and battle stages, as he can take damage for the party while also increasing their HP and stamina, but can also be effective in battles thanks to his high strength, and that he is one of the few characters that can naturally summon the Knights of the Round, which is the most powerful summon in the game. Keep in mind that boosting Galuf's strength comes at the cost of expending the party's overall HP gauge, so choose strategically as to what Galuf's setup should prioritise.

An elderly warrior who has lost his memory. His true identity is that of one of the four Warriors of Dawn who once sealed Exdeath away. He joins Bartz and his friends on their journey, driven by a sense of duty to protect the crystals.

A seasoned warrior who's lost almost all memory of the past. In fact, he was one of the four Warriors of Dawn who sealed away the dreaded Exdeath. Still animated by a drive to protect the Crystals, he joins Bartz's party on their journey.
Galuf is a playable character who can be recruited as the First Time Reward for completing Desert of Shifting Sands on Classic difficulty in the FF V realm of the core dungeons. He could also be recruited during the Challenge Event Big Bridge Showdown as the First Time Reward for completing the event's stage Desert of Shifting Sands on Classic difficulty, the same way as it is done in the base game. He was also available in Successors of the Dawn and The Malice Within.
Galuf is Amnesic Warrior, whose combat role is Physical Attack.
As a typical Monk, Galuf boasts high HP, Attack, Defense, and Speed stats, while his Magic, Resistance, and Mind stats are average and remain balanced as he develops. As such, his best use is as an attack unit. What he doesn't pound into a pulp with his fists will almost certainly be smashed with a hammer or carved with a dagger. Galuf was the first Monk able to wield three weapon types and the first to wield hammers, but the hammer group is somewhat rare in typical gameplay.

Galuf can use Combat abilities up to rarity rank 5, Support abilities up to rarity rank 3, Monk abilities up to rarity rank 5, Samurai abilities up to rarity rank 4, and Ninja abilities up to rarity rank 4.
His default Soul Break is Clenched Fist which at the expense of one Soul Gauge segment deals damage to one target equal to 150% damage potency of a conventional attack. The fist Kaiser Knuckles (V) allow Galuf to use Unyielding Fist which at the cost of one Soul Gauge segment removes all buffs and debuffs from user, while granting Invulnerable and raising Attack.
He can equip accessories.

At that time, he had no memory of his identity, save his own name and his duty to protect the Crystals. As he journeys with the others, though, he recalls more and more of his past life. He remembers that he comes from a different world than the one Bartz and the others live in. And there, he had been one of the four Warriors of Dawn, who sealed the warlock Exdeath in the past after a desperate struggle."

He was the king of Bal in the Second World, and one of the Warriors of Dawn who formerly sealed away Exdeath. Unable to defeat Exdeath in a contest of strength, the Warriors had little choice but to seal him in the First World. Galuf has been haunted ever since by the fear that he left another world infected with the seeds of destruction. His love for peace and for his comrades is beyond compare, and inspires him to take on Exdeath in one-on-one combat, in order to save Bartz and the other Warriors of Light in the Great Forest of Moore."

However, the seal eventually broke freeing Exdeath in the process, which lead Galuf to seek the help of Bartz and his friends in another world. Determined to protect his comrades and family, he lost his life facing Exdeath in battle. His will now lives on in his granddaughter Krile, whom he continues supporting in spirit."

Galuf appears in the Japan-exclusive Final Fantasy trading card game published by Square Enix in his Yoshitaka Amano artwork, as well as representing numerous jobs from Final Fantasy V and his Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call appearances. As a reference to his sacrifice in Final Fantasy V, one of his Amano cards has the effect that Galuf cannot be Broken in Attack Phase, instead being Broken on the next turn if he would be Broken, and when Broken the player can add a Krile card from their deck to their hand.
Many of his cards are earth-elemental as that is the element he is associate with in the GBA and mobile versions of Final Fantasy V.
Galuf appears on Triple Triad cards in the version playable via Final Fantasy Portal App.
