Fundaments, also known as Basic Skills, is a command ability from Final Fantasy Tactics. It is used by the Squire. Basic Skill are useful in the beginning in the game, offering some abilities that can get a character out of a tough spot. However, once chapter 1 is over, these skills are not as useful, other than Focus.

Ramza and Delita have the command abiltiy Mettle (Guts in the PS1 version) instead. This functions the same way, except they get several more abilities, increasing its usefulness.
