Fuel (燃料, Nenryō^?) is an item from Final Fantasy VIII that is used to power rental cars. There is a cost of 3,000 gil per unit (no actual measurement given), and it is used automatically after a given distance is traveled in the car. If the car runs out of fuel and the player has none left in the inventory, the car becomes immobile and the player will be unable to take out another car until the current one is returned to the correct city/town.
