This game was moderated by MirrorshardSceada. This time, the roleplay was losely based around a so-called Dissidia theme. Refer to Forum:Wanna play Mafia?, the main Mafia page, with the basic rules that are followed in any Mafia game.
Game-specific Rules
Edit
- The Dissidia theme we are taking will require each player to pick a character of his liking out of a game of the main series. You are not required to use the exact character that appears in Dissidia Final Fantasy, however, you are of course allowed to do so. Please remember that it'd be preferable if there is at most one character from each game, so if you aim for a certain game or character, be sure to reserve it in time.
- We are playing with 13 players, not including the moderator. Three out of the fourteen will take the role of Mafia, in this game named as Warriors of Chaos, where as the others will be civilians, or in context to this game, Warriors of Cosmos.
- There will be a so-called "Champion of Cosmos", which takes the role of the Doctor in this game. That means, he is able to protect one user every night, which can then not die. He can select himself only once a game, and can not select the same user twice in a row.
- Format will be almost entirely identical to Game 2 and Game 3.
- In Essence, we will be playing with the rules from Game 2, which can be found here. This includes the use of an encrypted messaging system for nighttime messages. Further information about these will always be provided during the night phase on this page.

Day Time Discussion
Edit
During Day Time, you all are required to discuss about who is the most likely to be Mafia. You are free to discuss as long as you see necessary, however, the discussion will be ended as soon as everyone has given his lynch vote. You can also speak out suspicions, however, you are not allowed to suspect the same player twice in the same Day phase, and you should always be aware: Randomly dishing out suspicions might have you end up being the one people will vote to lynch.
In order to give your suspicion and/or lynch votes, add a ---- to your talkbubble entry, and add something like Suspicion: Chaos +1 or Lynch: Chaos +1. An example with of such a post:
I deem you very suspicious, Cloud and Tidus. However, even more suspicious than you does Vaan appear to me! Suspicion: Cloud +1, Tidus +1; Lynch: Vaan +1 | |||
I hope this illustration helps you for the discussion. Also, remember: The Day phase can only be concluded once everyone has given their lynch vote!
Night Time Messages
Edit
During Nighttime, each one of you will have to send me a message, with the exact length of 10 digits, and when referencing players, you will add in their number. For example, that would be 03 for Arc, 13 for Vanille or 05 for Enuo. Depending on your role, the kind of message you will send me differs:
Warriors of Cosmos
Edit
The regular townsperson, in this game called Warrior of Cosmos, do not have to send anything special, as they are supposed to be "asleep" during Nighttime. Thus, they can send me anything they'd like. The only important thig is, that the message is 10 digits long.
Champion of Cosmos
Edit
The medic of this game, the so-called Champion of Cosmos, is able to protect a single player during Nighttime from being lynched by the mafia. He may however not protect the same person twice in a row, and can protect himself only once. The message he will send me during nighttime will look the following way: Protect_##, where ## does once more indicate the number of the character's game. An example: If the Champion wishes to protect Aeris, he will send Protect_07.
Warriors of Chaos
Edit
This games mafia, the Warriors of Chaos, will once more try to eliminate all the other players during the night. To do so, they will send me a list at nighttime, with a preference order on whom to kill. After I receive the numbers from each mafia member, the preference for each character will be added up by me. The player with the highest preference will then be lynched by the Warriors of Chaos (unless he was protected by the Champion, of course). To send their list, they will send me a message along the lines of this: kill090112 would mean that the mafia member wishes for Kuja to be killed the most, with Garland a second and Dr. Cid a third place. You can mention less or more characters, however, you must at least provide two numbers, and remember: Your message has to be exactly 10 digits long.
Now, as an effect of the metagaming in the previous round, we are having a change in how to encrypt your messages. This change will also be implemented in Game VI, and thus you can consider this kinda of a test run for that system. So, what is new? Well, basically it is rather easy: Instead of encrypting your message just once, you encrypt it 2 to 5 times, with the definite number being left up to you. Don't worry about me decrypting it, that won't be a problem as long as you stick to your key. There is no need to tell anyone how often you encrypted your message! Just encrypt it 2 to 5 times, and post it in the communication table. I'll take care of the rest.
Please make sure that the message you send is exactly 10 digits long, and does conform to your role.
Communications Table
Edit
The current phase is Night V.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| All messages should be encrypted using the player's given encryption key. Messages from the moderator to a player go in that player's "Inbox", while messages sent to the moderator go in the "Outbox". The encryption site can be found here. In order to avoid potential wiki markup parsing problems, you must place <nowiki></nowiki> tags around all coded messages that are put in this table. Also bear in mind that the encryption keys are case-sensitive, and are all exactly ten characters in length.
If you receive a message which contains any newline (¶) characters, you are advised to go into page editing mode and copy the message from there. This is because the newline breaks caused by the width constraints on the cells in this table on the normal view of this page can seriously mess up the decoding process. During Night Phases, "murder messages" are required from all "living" players, even those who aren't Mafia. This is because if only the Mafia players sent them, it would be obvious which players were Mafia! Since "dead" players' factions are known to everyone, they are the only players exempt from sending murder messages. Coded messages are permitted to be sent at any time during the game. Depending on the precise content and nature of the message, recipients won't necessarily reply. However, even if you don't reply to a message, you should still acknowledge receipt of it by removing it. This also shows that you are still contributing to the game. | ||||

Story
Edit
Prologue: From the research reports of Cid of the Lufaine
Edit
It already seems like an eternity to me, but still, there are no countable results. The third round of this endless cycle I created has just come to an end with a dashing victory of Chaos, and still, I am more than just far from reaching my goal. Not yet have I learned enough about the forces of both harmony and disorder, and so, Shinryu had to recreate this collection of worlds that are oh so different and come from all the dimensions known yet once again. Ah, every cycle holds new things to learn, new things to understand and still... Still I have started to grow tired of this endless war, which just never seems to change. Only growing ever more intense, ever more brutal, it has still just been a brainless clash of warriors summoned from the different worlds this our cycle has been connected to. Over and over have they clashed, fighting each other again and again, in the seemingly eternal infinity of this war. Nothing has truly changed over those three cycles, and thus I naturally expected this fourth one to be the same. But as soon as it began, I should stand corrected...
Usually, the two deities would start the cycles, bent on destroying the order, be it either to bring forth peace to this realm or to throw it into chaos, by summoning their Warriors. Pawns, ripped from all the worlds connected to this realm, their fate intertwined forever with this cycle, unable to ever break through it and become free once more. Those warriors would then clash at each other, all fighting for either the higher goal of their summoning deity or their own pruposes. Whatever their motivations were, they would be reduced to the sole goal of destroying their opponents, and thus, the fierce war would rage on. But this time, only Cosmos went, and summoned a hand of 13 Warriors, all from different worlds. She gathered them on the pretext of wishing to maintain peace, and all of them agreed to aid her cause. But Chaos? He did not summon any Warriors, not a single one of his previous champions was called back to his side. What was he scheming?
For a time, even I with all my wisdom about harmony and discord was left puzzled. Why would the deity of destruction and unrest refrain from causing the same? What could he possibly wish to attain through that? It was only after the manikin soldiers attacked the forces of Cosmos for the first time, that I begun to undestand his truly magnificent plan...
For what one could behold then, was something that had never before been seen by anyone observing the first three cycles of war: Chaos, acting like an ever benevolent deity, joined sides with Cosmos and her Warriors, in order to drive back the manikin army - An army, which he himself had summoned, of this I hold no doubt. Oh, how wonderfully magnificent this plan is! Truly, the discord it promises will make everything I have ever seen seem oh so meaningless! But it is also a rather risky plan, one, that can easily fail should the bond between the Warriors of Cosmos prove to be too strong...
Also, there is Cosmos, who surely by now must feel that something is amiss, despite her memory having been cleared after her loss in the third cycle. After all, she has spent eternities fighting against Chaos, so it must no doubt feel somehow out of place for him to be fighting at her side now. I wonder what steps she will take, given that she does not yet have anything to prove her she shouldn't trust him. Cosmos has always been more on the precautionary side, so I am sure, she will not just shake the feeling off. Still, what she will do, I can only wonder... - at least for now...
Night 1: Chaos Report I
Edit
Finally I can drop my act. Finally, I can stop to play the benevolent deity, and quit siding with these disgusting pawns of Cosmos. Oh, how foolish they are! They all followed her call for the sake of peace and "all that's good", not even knowing what awaited them in this realm. They may all be experienced fighters, some more than others, but none of them are able to match the powers that clash in this war. How can they even hope to bring peace to this realm? It is truly beyond foolish, but I will love seeing them fall into despair as soon as they realize, just how insignificant and powerless they all truly are. But since simply waiting is truly a boring task, I have moved to throw discord in their midst. And tonight, the plan finally went into motion.'
While I fought at the side of these worthless pawns, I closely observed them. It was easy finding those three, that were mostly susceptible to my manipulations. Everyone, be he human or not, has things he wishes for. Selfish things. Not things like peace or other nonsense like that, no. Things, he deeply wishes for from the bottom of his heart. Be it being able to meet a loved one once more, be it to gain power beyond all measures, or be it simply to be able to return home, it does not matter what it is. I just need to promise it to them as a price, and they will gladly help me out. Even if it means, betraying their own comrades and fellow Warriors of Cosmos...
And so, it has finally started tonight! Just as it had struck midnight, the final curtain has fallen upon the first of Cosmos pawns! The self proclaimed Poet of War, the Messenger of Death, this mere insect Kuja has drawn his final hand, killed by the hands of my own three pawns. Oh, how wonderful it is! I am sure a great unrest will now befall Cosmos and her Warriors, and distrust will start to spread within their ranks - After all, no one but them and Cosmos herself can enter the Sanctuary of Order, where the unlucky Genome has been struck down, so they can have no doubt that the culprit is among themselves. Oh, it will be delightful to see them tear each other apart! I can hardly hide my joy over such prospects! But still, I must be patient, and let them kill themselves. Because, after all, they still have no proof that I am their enemy...
Day 1: Cosmos Report I
Edit
It has come as I have feared... Among my noble warriors, which I summoned to bring peace and harmony to this realm, discord has started to spread. The unity, which has given us so much strength against the Manikin soldiers, has faded away. I fear for the worst.
It all began with the death of Kuja last night. We found him this morning, devoid of any life. And since this my Sanctuary of Order is impenetrable by those who were not invited by me, only one conclusion can be drawn: One of my trusted Warriors has defiled this place and killed a comrade, spilling his blood on this sacred floor. I could not have left this unpunished, and so, I had but one choice...
I summoned my twelve remaining Warriors and instructed them to find the traitor. I hold high hopes for them, not only on the battlefield but also in terms of wits and cunning, so I was sure they would be able to find the traitor in their midst. But perhaps... this was not a wise decision on my part...
For, as soon as I left the words to my noble Warriors, suspicion begun to rise. Especially Vanille seemed too highly motivated to find the culprit, and imeadiately pointed her weapon at both Garland and Enuo - I must thank Terra for her quick intervention, that the situation did not escalate further at this point... But the seeds of distrust had been sown, and noone trusted the other anymore. Oh, what have I done! My Warriors, once summoned to bring harmony to the lands, were now sunken deep into the swamp of distrust and disorder...
The discussion raged on, ever full of accusations and suspicions, and many a Warrior of mine considered the one right beside him a traitor. A theory was cast, born from the mind of Shantotto, that the culprit was aiming for the more intellectual ones among my Warriors, but not many a one was open for such words. During the course of the discussion though, one Warrior's behavior appeared to grow ever more strange: Doctor Cidolfus Demen Bunansa, the wise and crafty researcher of Nethicite, which seemed more often than not to talk with a person, that no one else could see - Not even I, with my powers. Many of his companions considered this suspicious... - and thus, soon after Shantotto had accussed the Paladin Cecil to be the traitor, the votes for the Doctor to be the traitor started to pile up.
After the debate, the decision was clear: My Warriors, confident in their own judgement, presented me the seemingly insane professor, which had been bound by a protective sphere by Terra. Apparently, some others had wished to pass the judgement themselves, and the young and often times insecure girl had protected the suspected culprit. A wise and intelligent action, for only I with my powers of Harmony am able to tell, whether the victim of the votes has been indeed the traitor, or rather a loyal Warrior of mine, only with a few odd habits.
"Cidolfus... Your companions accuse you of being the traitor, and wish to see you gone. I will fulfill their wish, and determine, whether you were unloyal to me or not. However, before I shall do so, have you any last words left?" With these words I approached the one trapped in the protective barrier, intent on hearing him either confess or claim his innocence. But neither happened, as indeed the odd doctor continued to talk with an imaginary friend: "Yes, yes Venat, I complete agree. It is such a waste that we have to part here, and that my brilliant mind will be lost forever. No, no, you do not have to share my fate, my dear friend. Go and return to where we came from, and continue our work!" - "It appears, that you do not. Very well then... I hope your soul will be able to forgive me if you indeed were innocent..." And with these words... I set to fulfill my duty.
There is but one way to determine, whether one's soul was stained by the disorder a murder causes, or if it was still filled with Harmony: To bathe one in the eternal light and eradicate his very flesh. I do not enjoy doing such a thing, but a murderer in the Sanctuary would put the lifes of all my Warriors in danger, and as such, I am forced to do it. And so... I summoned a pilar of eternal light, which consumed the mad scientist. Eagerly, I and my Warriors awaited the moment the pillar would fade and leave behind nothing but the essence of the eliminated one - and there it was, dark as night and wavering like smoke.
Relieved thanks to this result, I turned to my Warriors, and informed them of my verdict: "Doctor Cidolfus Demen Bunansa was, as the darkness of his essence proves, indeed a traitor. It must have been him who murdered our dear companion Kuja, and as such, he has indeed received his just punishment. But do not get careless, my dear Warriors: We do still not know, whether he was acting alone or as part of a group. Stay alerted, and be ready to defend yourselves. I do not wish to loose another one of you, my valuable Warriors." After I spoke this words, I sent them to bed, for the day had already passed in his entirety. I know I should have felt relieved, for I had rid the world of a shameless traitor and thus made it a safer place, but still: Somewhere, deep down in my heart, I felt that this all was not yet over. Yet, all I could do was place my trust in my Champion to protect his fellow Warriors...
Night 2: Chaos Report II
Edit
It appears that I have underestimated Cosmos and her Warriors... Only a single day has passed, and already have they found one of the pawns I manipulated, and punished it with a death sentence. But perhaps, I had made it too easy for them with this particular pawn: Doctor Cidolfus.
Manipulating him had been most easy: All I had to do, was to promise him knowledge far past the borders of his mind, and he as a researcher and professor could no longer resist. Truly, it had been no trouble at all to win him for my side. But still, perhaps I should have chosen a different Warrior, one, that was not such a lunatic as he was. After all, a person who tends to talk to an imaginary companion called Venat just has to appear suspicious, especially if there is already distrust spreading. But there is no need to worry just yet, for I have still two loyal pawns placed in the midst of Cosmos' Warriors, so my plan has not failed just yet.
Ah yes, my two pawns... - They did a splendid job this night, even better than the night before, when they eliminated the Genome Kuja. Truly, it will instill panic in the hearts of the weaker Warriors, as well as distrust and hatred in the hearts of those who are stronger, when they find the body tomorrow morning...
Gordon, the prince of Kashuan and Keeper of the Sunfire, has been their target this time, and as if they wanted to surpass my expectations, they have placed him on the very doorstep of Cosmos' room. It is as if they wished to mock her for thinking that she had stopped them, or perhaps, they really just wished to please me. After all, it is I who said that I would fulfill their wishes if they followed my orders and pleased me. How devastated they will be, once they find out that despite my powers, I can not fulfill just any wish! It will be a feast of dispair, one that is truly worthy of a god like me!
Intermission: From the research reports of Cid of the Lufaine
Edit
"This cycle truly is something special, something unprecedented, especially after what happened just moments ago. Not only is it the first ever cycle to not have both dieties summoning Warriors, with Chaos relinquishing his option to do so, but also the very first to have Shinryu intervene before the defeat of one side.
However, I can understand his reasons for doing so, they are clear as crystal to my skilled eye. I would not have wanted for the cycle to end just like that as well, so I shall bear him no ill will despite the fact, that his actions mostly likely did influence the further course of the experiment more than just a little.
As a researcher, it is of course my duty to report this event in the detail. It started when the pawn of Cosmos, the l'Cie Vanille, started acting weird, almost as if she had knowledge exceeding that of a mere pawn: Knowledge... about this eternal circle. How such a thing could happen, I do not know. To be honest, I still hold my doubts about it. How could it be? A mere pawn could never achieve knowledge about this world, that is just impossible. And still... this Vanille girl knew things, no pawn should ever be able to know... - And this very knowledge threatened the entire experiment.
Thus, Shinryu had to take action - and turn back the tides of time. Vanille was eliminated from everyone's consciousness, leaving only a blank spot where she used to reside, and with that, the cycle should have been stable once more. But sadly, another one of Cosmos' pawns, the legendary guardian Auron, proved to be an unstable existence, and vanished into Pyreflies.
This would have not been a problem, had Shinryu been able to erase the memory of him as well. But he could not do such a thing, as it would have created the risk of the pawns noticing their loss of two comrades. One blank spot is easy to overlook. Two, however, are much more difficult. Suspicion would rise against the very nature of this conflict, and from the suspicion would rise a threat with the power to ruin the experiment entirely. This, we can not allow, and as such, reality was altered further.
To compensate the loss of the legendary guardian, Shinryu reanimated his companion, the prince of Kashuan, Gordon. He should be more than enough to fill the void left by Auron, and as such, Vanille's disappearance should not be noticed. I can only hope that this plan works... - For if it does not, our experiment will fail. And this experiment is far to important to have it fail just like that...
Night 2: Chaos Report II
Edit
Strange things are happening, for I fear that the reality of this endless conflict has been... altered. I do not know what has happened, if something has happened that is, and if I am not just imagening things. But I was sure, almost certain, that this young prince called Gordon, this pawn of Cosmos, had been eliminated by my loyal Warriors. But now, what do my eyes see? Young Gordon alive and well? Something seems odd... - and if I see the way Cosmos' Warriors are acting right now, then I have to assume it is not my doing.
The seem confused as well, just like I am, and this does include the two who have sworn me loyality. But... who were the two again? I thought they were the fallen knight and the flower girl, both easy to manipulate, but... my memory tells me that this is wrong. Who are the traitors among Cosmos' pawns? It appears not even I know anymore, so I am at a loss...
Still, what cheers me up is the death of this legendary guardian, the one called Auron. His demise was a cruel one, and I am sure it will anger Cosmos even further, leading to her demanding action too soon. I am almost certain that this will further the discord among her remaining nine Warriors... - But, can I really speak of certainity? I could have sworn that there were ten pawns left... Am I, Chaos, god of discord, losing my mind? I can only hope that a day full of discord and suspicion can convince me from the opposite...
Day 2: Cosmos Report II
Edit
Strange things are happening in this realm, things that appear to be out of the understanding of even a goddess such as I. I do not know how this can be, but it somehow seems like reality itself has been altered, along with our minds cleansed - Or how else can it be that I seem to recall a reality that differs from the one visible to the eye here, where young man Gordon has been killed by the traitors and not the legendary guardian Auron? Also, there is the image of a young girl bound with a cruel fate and with red hair always before my eyes, but I just can't seem to recall neither name nor face of her... Just what has happened to this realm? What is this realm anyway?
No matter how much this question occupies my mind, there is a more pressing matter at hand that I must tend to: The traitors. I can not allow them to have their way any longer, for as long as they live my fair Warriors which I originally summoned to aid me in bringing peace to this realm are in danger. But still, no matter how eager my desire to find and punish them, I can not just punish a scapegoat...
For if I had chosen to punish someone today, he would only have been a scapegoat. Someone elected to be lynched for no other foundation than the fact, that I asked for one Warrior to be presented as a traitor, and nothing more. Because the way that things are now, my Warriors simply have no clue whatsoever as to who might be the traitors, and as such, they can not decide upon one, and whatsmore, they can not even engage in discussion about this subject. To strong are the seeds of uncertainity and fear right now, and so everyone refuses to take the word because that would make him seem suspicious. A truly wicked situation...
And so, the day had passed, and nothing worth to note has happened. No one could be presented to me, and thus, all the remaining nine Warriors were sent to their chambers with their work left undone. All that is left is for me to pray and have faith in my champion. Hopefully, he will be able to foil the plans of the traitors, so that all nine may see the dawn of a new morning once more...
Night 3: Chaos Report III
Edit
It appears that not only I have suffered from the fact that the reality of this realm has been warped, for it seems that Cosmos as well has her problems adapting to it. Otherwise, I can not explain myself this sudden softness of her. Why else would she now choose to spare her pawns the ordeal of finding the traitors instead of demanding a sacrifice from her Warriors? Not that I would object to this, for it did also serve to protect my two remaining pawns that are placed in the midst of her group...
And those two knew how to thank Cosmos for this, as they have proven in this very night. Without hesitation have they acted, and to top it off, the placed the lifeless body of their victim in the middle of the sanctuary. Not that it would have been an easy target this time, oh no. The girl, Terra, seemed to have awaited them and was still awake in her room when they entered with the intention to murder her in her sleep. From what I can tell, it must have been quite an intense battle then, and it was only thanks to the fact that they acted as a team that my two pawns were victorious.
Still, they were victorious and as such, Cosmos will have to mourn yet another lost soul when the morning dawns. I wonder how she will react now... - I doubt she will just let her Warriors of the hook a second time. Because with every night, one more of her oh so cherished Warriors will fall - and my victory will draw ever closer. It is only a matter of time...
Day 3: Cosmos Report III
Edit
"What I have feared most has come to happen. In light of the threat that the traitors pose, my Warriors have grown restless. Eager to save naught but their own life, they have presented me today young Arc as a traitor to receive punishment. Oh, how could they not see how frail the poor boy was...? Chaos would never depend on one as young and insecure as him and in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have either. But I wished to let his gentle heart help form the peacafull future we all so desire, and thus put my faith in him. Perhaps this was too much for him too handle, especially with the additional burden I placed on him...
But wait, what burden do I talk about? Young Arc was but a regular Warrior of mine, innocent at heart and righteous perhaps, but certainly not tasked with a special role. So why, why do I seem to recall myself giving him a task, along with special abilities? What is this shady memory that has penetrated my mind? How... how can this all be...?
I am confused, confused by these memories. What do they mean, and where did they come from? And what meaning do they hold? I simply can not tell... - But I know that we have lost another loyal companion today, and as such I hold fear in regard to the night. Yet all I can do is pray... Pray that my champion will be able to prevent yet another murder from happening. Hopefully, we shall all awake tomorrow morning once more..."
Night 4: Chaos Report IV
Edit
"Yet another night has come to pass and unrest still fills the hearts of Cosmos' Warriors, just like I planned. But still, I can not shake the feeling that not all aspects of this reality are as they were when I first began this my scheme, and what happened this night only confirms this.
My loyal Warriors, still able to act as a duo, have struck once more, and this time their target was the lovely maiden, the flower girl Aerith. As they would say on her plane, she has been returned to the lifestream and all that remains from here is a single ribbon, which my Warriors have placed right in the middle of the Sanctuary, as if they wished to remind everyone of their presence. So far, nothing out of the ordinary, and everything according to the plan, but... there is one thing that confuses me.
It is a memory that resurfaced as I watched over her demise, a memory about a promise that I had seemingly made with her: The promise to revive her fallen boyfriend. Naturally, this is a promise that I can not fulfill, not even if I wanted to, but still, I remember promising this to her... - in order to win her over to my side.
How come that I, the god of discord, hold such a memory? After all, this Cetra was never part of my armies, and she most certainly wasn't one of the traitors I placed in Cosmos' group, otherwise she would not have died this very night. So why? Why do I have such an obscure memory? Has reality really been warped so much? Just what is going on in this realm and why... why do I even fight Cosmos over it? The answers appear to be out of my reach..."
Day 4: Cosmos Report IV
Edit
"Finally have my Warriors had success in finding a traitor, finally have they made a right choice. It was time for this to happen, but does it not come too late? Too many innocent souls have already been lost...
Another one was lost this night, and it is one that will be missed dearly. Aerith, the flower maiden, has been laid to an eternal rest. This caused great dispair among my dear Warriors... - but also, it spawned aggression. Both Cecil and Enuo seemed to be more than just shaken at the fact that Aerith had passed away, and they both started to throw around suspicion - which lead to themselves being suspected in return. Truly, especially from the kindhearted Cecil I would not have expected such a behaviour...
Still, I am glad to say that neither of them met their end today, and that instead a true traitor has been found: Shantotto, the Tarutaru mage. It pains me that she of all people would betray me, and even more so that she laughed at me for not noticing it. Why? Why would one with such wit and power side with Chaos? I can not understand it... - Yet it does not matter anymore. Her dark essence has already vanished from this plane for all eternity...
Two traitors have been found by now, and our nights are safer now. However, I still fear that there might be a traitor left, waiting to strike us down in our sleep. I sincerely hope that I am wrong, and that indeed we have overcome this threat. Still, I nontheless asked my Warriors to be cautious not to drop their guard. I would not wish to see another one of them dead... Hopefully, my prayers for peace will be heard this night..."
Night 5: Chaos Report V
Edit
"It appears that Cosmos's pawns aren't as useless as I had assumed... For they have managed to find another of my agents today. After they had dispatched of the Cetra, the two of them must have become careless. Otherwise, I can not explain how one as witty as the Tarutaru Shantotto could have been caught. She won't live to see the ultimate magick devised now, although I wouldn't have granted her wish either way...
So, only one of my agents is left now and upon his shoulders alone lies the weight of fulfilling my order to spread discord. I am certain that he will do his best, seeing how much he values the promise I have made to him... - A foolish person he is, believing in my promise, and a foolish promise it is as well. But it matters not to me...
At least this one is doing good work. This night as well, he has eliminated another of Cosmos's pawns, this time the stalward knight Garland. It is strange... for I remember him being loyal to me, much like I did the Cetra last night. Does this mean that he had been in my service before? I can not remember... So why does it sadden me to see him death...?
I can not be swayed by this feelings though. As the god of discord, I can not hold such foolish emotions, they must be illusions, brought forth by the disturbances in this realm earlier. I will bring discord to this realm without fail. I shall rule over this realm, and Cosmos shall fall!"
Day 5: Cosmos Report V
Edit
"I am afraid of what will happen today, for a premonition most sad has striken me. My Warriors... they will all fall, I can feel it. And worst of all... I feel like I am the one to blame...
After Garlands demise last night, only four, no, actually just three Warriors remain for me. It would be foolish to count the traitor among their numbers. But given that the traitor always strikes at night, I am at a loss. If my Warriors do not manage to find him today, and instead choose to punish yet another innocent companion... - I don't even want to think about it.
And I have reason to believe that they will indeed punish another innocent, for they have had their eyes on Enuo for quite some time now... I should tell them that he is my Champion, that it is indeed not him who murders them, but rather that he is the one who aims to protect them, albeit he failed at it so far. But I can not. Should the traitor survive, this would put Enuo in even more danger...
It appears that all that is left to me is to believe in my Warriors, and that they will make the right descision. But my hope is only a small one..."
Day 5: Chaos Report VI
Edit
"Finally has the Champion of Cosmos drawn his last breath, and in his death, he has taken the power granted to him by Cosmos with himself. Cosmos is weakened, and the number of her Warriors has dwindled. My time to strike had finally come.
In an instant I had appeared right behind her Warriors after she herself had had to murder her own Champion, for I had waited near the barrier of her Sanctuary for this moment. After all, it was most obvious that my loyal pawn, the solitary lion Squall, would not fail me and see that this farce here comes to an end. And indeed, he did not disappoint me...
While Cosmos and her remaining two Warriors were shocked at my sudden appearance, he remainded calm and coldheartedly cut down Gordon - the very man who had just moments ago deemed him innocent. And now, all that was left to this man was to look in his murderers face and utter a faint 'Why?' before he perished. Even he, the Keeper of Kashuan could not escape his fate after all.
Squall, my loyal pawn, then went on to face the shaken Cecil, who turned into a Dark Knight out of his dispair. Needless to say, he was no match for my Warrior. After all, one with a shaken and torn heart can never hope to match one who's heart is full of determination...
And I? I took care of Cosmos, who didn't even had the will left to fight back. Her spirit was already broken, what a shame. I wanted to see her powers and turn the last spark of hope they'd have given her to dust, but apparently, I was too late. Her hope had already died with Enuo. What a shame...
Now then, it will soon be time to give the solitary lion his well-deserved payment, but it will not be what he expects. This promise, that his heart is full of, I can not help him fulfill it. I shall not send him to the field of flowers that his heart dreams of, and he shall not meet the woman his soul longs for. No, his just reward shall be the honour to die at my hands. After all, he has readily betrayed Cosmos. How could then I, Chaos, God of Discord, place my trust in one like him?"
Epilogue: From the research reports of Cid of the Lufaine
Edit
"And so, once more, the conflict of the gods has come to an end. A temporary end, for the next cycle, the fifth one, is already set to begin. But as a researcher, it is my duty to first finish my report of the fourth one.
It was an interesting cycle, and in contrast to the third one before it, it allowed me to gain new insights into the powers of Harmony and Discord. Furthermore, it showed that there indeed can exist pawns that gain knowledge on the cycle itself, that can see behind the reality of this world. Did this happen due to the girl still being connected to someone in her own realm, to someone who bound her soul? I guess I will never find out, for the only way to learn of it would be to bring her back. And we can not allow this Oerba Dia Vanille to enter this realm ever again, for the cycle can not be allowed to be broken before I have gained enough knowledge about this world and the powers of Harmony and Discord.
As such, I am looking forward to this next cycle. Will Chaos once more try to spread discord by placing traitors amidst Cosmos' Warriors? Personally, I hope he will go back to summon Warriors of his own. From my records I can tell that his power grew faster in the first three cycles, and as such, I would prefer for him to use the same method as then. But of course, I am merely an observer, and not allowed to intervene in the conflict...
No matter how he will decide... the war of the gods will continue, and new souls will be called forth to fight in it. Chaos will grow stronger, and one day... one day, he will be strong enough to force open the door to the Rift. Then, I will be able to return to my own plane... I almost can't await that day."

Cosmos, Goddess of Harmony — 14:06, May 14, 2011 (UTC) - The Mafia of Dissidia
"It is all an endless dream. Yet still... the fantasy must come to an end..." | |||
"My dear Warriors... what I have feared most has come to happen. Garland, our valiant knight, has been found death this morning. This means, that Shantotto wasn't acting alone, and that her companion has decided to enact revenge on the one who brought suspicion over her. So, I must demand you my fair Warriors, find me this last traitor! If we do not manage to find him, I fear that we all are doomed..." And so starts Day V. Sorry Arma, I guess this is the first time you actually died on a mafia game, eh? Well, the situation is now as follows: 1 doctor, 1 mafia and 2 townspersons remain. The game most likely will end in this phase, as there is only one single scenario where it will reach phase Day VI, namely if the doctor and mafiosi survive and the doctor protects the right person in the night. So, you know what you are in for guys! | |||
Was I not right? What was the purpose of striking down a traitor if more of us die every night? *ENUO looks around* There are almost nil of us, now. This proud group, killed by three traitors. I honestly cannot say I have a strong idea of who the final traitor is, but...I will find out. You, murderer, will not survive this day. wtf?! Arma D: | |||
Cecil awake, shaking his head. "...and again we have lost one whom was an ally in our fight..." He closes him eyes, silently mourning for all those who have been killed by the traitors. "This ends now..." Cecil looks around at those remaining. Enuo, Gordon, Squall and himself... He lets out a sigh. "So many have fallen due to the devious actions of the few cowards who betrayed us." He thinks for a second, then looks at Gordon and Enuo. "I don't wish to be hasty about this; However, I'm tied of losing friends. The three of us are the ones who caught the mafia member yesterday. It would seem that we only have a single outcast who could have done this..." He looks to Squall. "...and I did say before that they seem like minded. It would seem that Squall is definitely the most likely candidate to be the traitor..."
Sorry Arma. :( | |||
Ahahaha... At this point in time? Nothing. I have nothing to say, and nothing to disuade your suspicion. Kill me if you like, but again, I will warn you that it will get you nowhere; alas, it will end in more conflict. To that end, I think my culprit is Gordon. He changed his vote to Shantotto, just as I did. However, I did it to spite her, as she tried to kill me; he simply changed his vote. Was he trying to remove suspicion of himself? Or trying to kill his foolish comrade before she gave him away? Who knows. But for now...I suspect him. Suspicion +1 - Gordon/DSS | |||
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Thank you, Squall. Enuo, I do not see how you cannot remember the events of yesterday; Cosmos ordered me point blank to change my vote as we were deadlocked. Before that I voted for Cecil over you, and when given the choice the second time, I yet again pardoned you, Enuo. As for your claim that I was trying to remove suspicion from myself, what suspicion? I do not mean to sound haughty, but the only suspicion I was given was by Cecil, and even then that was in his Dark Knight phase, no offense, Cecil. I haven't been given great suspicion. And as for killing a possible comrade, I suppose that could be possible, but what would the killer stand to gain from it? Would one of their own so easily betray them? Maybe they would and I'm just being naive... Either way, Enuo, what you are saying, I cannot follow your logic. I spared your life twice yesterday, and today I find myself the target of your suspicion. True comrades in arms operate on a basis of trust, and you've seem to have betrayed mine as sure as the torch betrays those who are unfit to carry it. I believed in you, but I don't know if I can any longer... Suspicion +1 to Enuo | |||
Cecil looks from Squall to Enuo. Then he looks at Gordon and talks to him. "I'm not sure which is more suspicious, but i think we know one of these two is mafia." He looks between the two again. "...and I think I agree with you that Enuo is more suspicious than Squall. ...and at this point, since we're in agreement..." He looks at Enuo. "I say we let Cosmos have him." +1 Lynch Enuo. Game was stalling, so we need to get it moving. Almost at the end, one way or another! | |||
Gordon appeared as a beaten man as he looked from Cecil, to Enuo, and finally to Squall. His breath rattled as he picked himself up to speak again. "Yes...Squall hasn't shown me enough to warrant my suspicion...though I also suppose that means he's doing a good job as the traitor if indeed he is the one, haha..." but Gordon's laughter sounded cold and distant, a sign that he was dreading what was to come. Lynch +1 to Enuo | |||
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
It seems I cannot sway you. Fine, I resign myself to my fate. I hope you fools enjoy killing an innocent.

"It is all an endless dream. Yet still... the fantasy must come to an end..." | |||
"So this is your will, my fair Warriors? This is what you wish for? Very well then... By the rules of this conflict, I have no other choice but to follow your wish..."
With this words, Cosmos slowly approaches Enuo, who stands a bit distanced from the other three Warriors. "Enuo, forgive me... I had thought it wise to hide my light within you, who you are a soul crafted of darkness, for I expected that Chaos would never find you - but now, exactly this has led to not only your demise, but also our downfall... Forgive me..." And after these words, the pillar of light once more appears, encompassing Enuo and obliterating him. When the pillar fades, a light most pure remains, sparkling brightly as it enlightens the Sanctuary and reveals without any doubt that indeed Enuo, the dark Warlock, was the Champion of Cosmos. "There, my faithfull Warriors, I have carried out your wish and with it sealed our fate. It can only be mere moments before he will-..." | |||
"Hello, Cosmos..." And thus ends the conflict of the gods, with another victory for Chaos (just like in canon, xD). Congratulations to Squall aka SCM for winning this round! You are a true backstabber ;) For those wondering why the game ended now, despite it still being a 2 to 1 ratio: Well, since the doctor is gone, there is nothing left to prevent the lone mafiosi from killing one of the two innocents. And when he does, it is a 1 to 1 ratio, at which the Mafia wins. As such, I decided not to waste more time and wait for the inevitable. I hope this is alright with everyone. Thanks everyone for the fun game! | |||

Well, it was me who fixed it, but I put your normal talk bubble in instead of your mafia one, which Bond fixed. My bad.

As Arma said, all I did was change your normal talk bubble to your mafia one, and no problem. I noticed it was your regular talk bubble and figured it was just an accident. Arma is the one who actually fixed it and deserves the credit for such.

First off, I am sorry for answering this so late. I must admit it somehow slipped past me because I was too busy with other stuff. Sorry. Then, to the topic on hand, namely the proposal of not lynching anyone in this dayphase. Basically, I am not a too big friend of it, as I must admit. Somehow... it doesn't seem right to me, I don't know why. Which is a shame, for I can see a few good reasons to do so. First off, it would get this game moving again, as we could finally see how the new mafiosi would act. After all, it wasn't their decision to kill Auron, that was mostly just a nice solution to the problem of Oavatos quiting, so we really have no indication whatsoever about them. Thus, it would be a good idea. Also, it would reduce casualities on the side of the Cosmos Warriors, who would right now only have a very small chance of succesfully finding a mafiosi and are far more likely to kill one of themselves or even worse, their champion. For the mafiosi it would also work out, as they could be at ease for one more day. Hmm...Okay guys, you know what? We will do it like this: Those who would like to have a day without any lynching are kindly asked to just sign beneath this talkbubble. If 50% of the remaining players (that would be 4.5 out of 9, so let's just say 5) sign here within the next 48 hours, we will conclude this day without any lynching. If they are not, we will proceed in the normal way with lynch votes. Is this okay for everyone? | |||

Thanks for finally getting this game running again. I am sorry I could not do much recently to help it get underway once more, so I'm quite thankfull to you guys for taking this into your hands. Then, about the problem with the nighttime messages... Well, let's for now just continue the discussion and see if everyon participates. It is of course possible to architect a message out of the fragments for the lost players, but I'd rather not resort to this. So let's for now just see how far we get the normal way. | |||

Alright, well it looks like we have a majority vote. I haven't seen Mango or Arm11 for a while, but I haven't been here very often these past couple of weeks. Anyway, I know your the mod MSS, but I would recommend setting a date and if they haven't voted by then, we keep moving. That's what 8-bit did with mafia III, since the other 2 votes cannot change the final outcome. Anyway, that's my suggestion so hopefully we can get some new info on if ARC's mafia or not, and who dies so we can get this game moving again.
| |||
Oh, I see how it is, Mafia. Well, just you wait! When I find out who you are, you'll get a poking like you wouldn't believe! Be afraid! Be very afraid!
There we go, rage satiated. Adios. | |||
Well, seeing how I am somewhat disputed over whether or not the phase should have been concluded before Crono switched his vote, I am kinda unsure if I should allow it. If I say it was concluded, he can still change his vote - but SN is no longer an option then, due to lynch immunity. However, if he counts, we do not yet have a majority, with the lynch immunity protecting Bond...
I must say, that the rules would allow for both depending on interpretation, and as such I have to delay my ruling until tomorrow morning. So, everyone, please refrain from adding anything until then. Thank you. | |||

True AJ, the metagaming did give me some trouble here and is something that nobody likes to see - But I don't hold a grudge against you over this. You know very well that I only reluctantly agreed to disqualify you, and that it pondered a long time about a way to keep you included. As such, if there ever is a Dismafia sequel (and hey, why not, it was fun, and the theme can easily be recycled :D), I would definitely not exclude you. True, I excluded Vanille, but who ever said that we all had to keep the same characters if we played another round of Dismafia? ;)
But, and that is a given, this is still in the far future. For now, the topic is concluded, as other games deserve the spotlight right now. Let those first be concluded, then we can think about this again ;) | |||
