I found two images from TGS 2009 on Kotaku. They both show Serah grouped with Lightning, Snow, Sazh, Vanille, And Hope. Does This Mean she might be a playable hero? I'm not so sure, but you decide for yourself. If she is playable, then this is big news.
I don't see it.
Serah's a l'Cie, so I could see her as a party member. I do also see the three have the same face. But so does Hope. Guess it's just the art style.
DO WANT THE CHOCOBO CAN. DOWANTDOWANTDOWANT. Just don't make the elixir taste like turtle plz.Unoriginal speculation: Could Serah and Lightning be of royalty?
Maybe they are royalty. The series does have a tradition of royalty keeping their linage secret. IF she is playable, then this rounds out the party. Could we now know all of the playable characters?
If her picture was ripped for an in game image like Yaag or Jihl, or not mixed in with the other party members, then I wouldn't think she was one of the player heroes. I think this may be an unintentionally revealed spoiler!
Draco Argentevs XXVIII - "All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not touched by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king."

I have always been expecting a 6-PC minimum for the game's cast. Also, Game Informer predicts "that [Hope] will join the ranks of Quina and Cait Sith in the infamous League of Never-Used-Characters."
