No connection. The names are all that's similar, even though Culex is nothing like Cecil. The story is completely different, as I pointed out, you only have one character name relation, not even a common theme. interesting find though Likeacupcake 12:45, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure Culex was just a shout-out of sorts to FFIV, as he was done in the same sprite style, was a "Dark Knight," crystals, music, etc. but wasn't intended to actually be from FFIV, and rather just a non-canon joke of sorts.
