- I truely hope people won't start bitching about it. But knowing them...they will. CUT SQUARE ENIX SOME SLACK PEOPLE! They make entertainment for us and shitty feedback is what they get? Watch like 85% of the responses be negative. Knowing me, I'm pretty excited about it. I love this game and I like continuations. I get to see more of my favorite people and more of a story. I really like seeing what Square Enix comes up with. It's really interesting suff. Koharu Nami 01:27, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
- I for one agree with Koharu. As long as it has Lightning in it, <3 --ShirubaKurono

- ^^^Always. Also to your comment below mine, I guess there must be a website that lists the sites being registered. There should be a record of them anyway, and people will always notice something that looks very interesting (i.e. a XIII-3) Koharu Nami 01:43, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

...on another note, how do people notice when websites are registered? Is there some kind of website-register-Twitter thing floating around? --ShirubaKurono

Vanille a bad character?! That just ruined my day. They couldn't of said Snow or Hope or even Lightning?! Anyway, back on topic, this is awesome. However would it kill square to finish Compilation of Final Fantasy VII and the Xehanort Saga in KH before they start a new series? The only other main games left that really needs a sequel are VI and IX.

I guess I forgot to express my opinions on this so here goes. I'm pretty neutral on the matter, I just wish they'd focus on releasing Type-0 and Versus before starting development on this one. I'll definitely buy it but my only request is the same thing I want from XIII-2, Sazh being playable.
| |||
Oh yeah, let's bring Sazh back in. Since we can assume that Fang and Vanille will be saved in XIII-2 so maybe XIII-3 will bring a lighter mood than the these two really dark games. The whole gang can be reunited and playable.
| |||
Where on earth did they find out that Square has registered a website for XIII-3? To be honest I wasn't that excited when XIII-2 was announced. It's not that I hate it, but Square can we please focus on some other deserving games?
| |||
I don't know about Fang and Vanille getting saved cause they haven't really said anything on that matter yet...but it's still too early to tell (and to start speculating on a 3rd game). And about developing other games, they are still working on them. It's not like they've slowed production on the games that they're already working on and went straight to more XIII games. They work on multiple games at a time and I'm sure they don't interfere with each other that much. Production most likely hasn't even started. Why would they, since XIII-2 is only 90% done. I know they'll finish Versus XIII before they work on a XIII-3 or any more games.
| |||
I'm gonna try XIII-2 first before I even think about having an opinion about XIII-3. As for Fang and Vanille being saved, I pray that that is not the case. It's not that I hate the characters, in fact I quite enjoyed the both of them, both in and out of gameplay. It's just that if they end up being saved in XIII-2, or even XIII-3 it would completely kill the magnitude of there sacrifice at the end of XIII, which probably was one of the things that made the ending such a perfect way to wrap up what was already a deep and emotional story--ShadowsTwilight

@Koharu: I don't even know how you can even begin to complain about people bitching when no one in this thread has yet. Negativity breeds negativity. I understand you're a big fan of XIII, but I hope you know that not everyone else is. SE is a company, after all. They exist because we, the consumers, purchase their product. If certain consumers don't approve of what product the company is coming out with, as paying customers I believe they should reserve the right to complain. Having said that, what are my thoughts on the announcement? I'm reserving judgement until an official statement is from SE is released. I wasn't a fan of XIII, so please excuse me if I'm not jumping out of my chair.

I'm not a fan about this either and I am a fan of XIII, I just wish they Square will work on something else like FFXV or a VI remake. It just XIII-2 is not out yet and they already thinking about another squeal.

@DSS I know not everyone is a fan and they have a right to complain. And I was mostly talking about the internet in general. I'm just scared about this and SE getting negative comments cause I just want good stuff to happen to them. I know they try their best, I'm just tired of seeing them get bashed. I'm sorry for making my comment so sour towards this.
| |||

They are a big business and richer than god, they don't need protection against negative internet comments. They do follow internet comments and people's reactions, don't think that they wouldn't, probably not this thread exactly, but it doesn't go unnoticed. Free market research for them.

This is why people had so much trouble with FFXIII and FFXIV. It's not that it's a sequel, if done correctly it can be a good thing, it's the fact that Square has started another game when they have twenty other projects going on at the same time. I know that SE is uber rich and it has different branches for all it's stuff, but that's the thing that's dragging it down. There are too many people doing too many things at the same time. Let's look at all the games that they have pumping out the blood work: FFXII-2, (Supposedly) FFXII-3, FF Versus, FF Type-0, FF Dissidia Theatrhythm, Dragon Quest X, Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance, and that's only the fantasy games. My point is that there are too many people working on too many things. Why do you think FFXIII felt so rushed? For one people were coming in and out on the project and the game was on a dead line. So when it did come out the battle system was loose and undefined, the AI is just horrible, and the story was either being rushed or pushed aside for character development. Games nowadays can never have too much Character development. Back in the days when they were still making games on SNES it was one team so there wasn't a thousand different ideas bouncing around there were two bosses that knew what they wanted and how they wanted it. When you have a organized plan, team, and idea whatever your trying to accomplish is going to come out with near perfection. Now before anyone gets on me yes I am going to get XIII-2. Manly, because I see this as a way for it to redeem it's self. From what I personally saw off of demos and special previews it looks a hell of alot better then the first game. Now that they added sidequests and backtracking I won't fell so rushed to get through the or get tired of battling all the time. And another thing I would like them to fix is how the monsters are placed. In the first game sure there ways to "avoid" battles, but gil was hard to come by and I wasn't going to spend it all on cloaks and crap. And the area with the monsters where so packed I felt like every 3 minutes I was in a fight. So heres hoping to a way better game and maybe a way to bring back Squares former glory.
