The truth is that you can return to Gaea's cliff to learn trine anytime you want after you've completed it in the course of the story. Just go to Icicle Inn and do the snowboarding mini-game again, once done you'll be at Great Glacier and able to make your way to Gaea's Cliff by heading sraight north on the screen where you place flags, if the wind turns the screen try to continue in your original direction and you'll eventually come out at the base of Gaea's Cliff. The only draw-back is that after you've learned Trine from Stilva you have to make your way back to Great Glacier and out to the field through the screen with the "Ice Gate" sign at the bottom of your Ice Glacier map, once in the field simply walk along the path to enter Icicle Inn again and exit at the other end of town to continue the game.

That is not possible. Whenever you try to actually climb Gaea's Cliff, Mr Holzoff is going to come out of his cabin and stop you. And I feel this should be in the Dollet Hotel forum section.Discordius 09:48, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

I've confirmed that you CANNOT get Trine from Gaea's Cliff after you've completed it. You can take the snow board path from Icicle Inn to reach the Great Glacier. Then you can work you way up to the base of the Cliff. However you CANNOT under any circumstances go to the northern part of the cliff. Any attempt will be haulted by Mr. Holzoff, the cabin keeper at the base.

The only things you can get at the Great Glacier if you miss them are - Added Cut - Alexander (summons) - All materia
