I came SO BLOODY CLOSE to killing him, he had an eighth of his health left and then doom nailed me. Anyway, what I am wondering is if anyone knows any tricks or tips that they used to kill him. I am using, primarily anyway. MED/MED/SEN, RAV/MED/COM and early in the battle, SYN/SAB/SEN. The party members I am using are Hope, Vanille, and Fang. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Doom counter is halted when you summon, so if you're almost winning you could try that. You can replenish TP with an Elixir if you need to summon twice. There isn't really a big point saving the Elixirs for later. What I suggest you is to swap Hope with somebody else, like Lightning for example. You shouldn't need two healers in the same battle, and Synergists are not that useful since bighead frequently removes your status effects. Instead keep Fang as a Sentinel throughout the battle and keep Lightning as a Commando. You should alternate Vanille between Saboteur for inflicting Deshell, Deprotect and Imperil on bighead, Medic for healing, and Ravager for when you have breathing space. The SYN was just to speed up the first bit of the battle. Before he gets Aptosis. The idea was to try to tear a chunk out early to avoid the Doom counter, needless to say, this theory did not quite work...Exdeath64 04:30, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

I also have been in trouble and stick with the fang/hope/lightning and they are quite advanced in the roles they learn their full ATB skill, any help?? Cloudhighwind
