Flare Blade

Flare Blade (フレア剣, Furea Ken?), also known as Flare Sword or simply Flare, is a recurring ability in the series. It is usually the most powerful Spellblade ability available alongside Holy Blade, and usually requires having the Flare spell learned to use it.

Appearances

Final Fantasy V

Template:Sideicon Flare is a level 6 Spellblade ability that costs 30 MP to cast. It increases the user's Battle Power by 100 and ignores 75% of the enemy's Defense, making it the strongest Spellblade ability in the game.

Final Fantasy IX

Template:Sideicon Flare Sword is a Sword Magic ability for Steiner while Vivi is in the party. It costs 60 MP to cast and increases Steiner's attack by 60.
