The Flangonzola is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2. It uses Firaga and has high physical defenses, but is not difficult to defeat.

Stats[]

Paradigm Pack[]

Flangonzola is a rare monster found in the Archylte Steppe. It costs a lot of materials to max out (269 Crystals) and even still does not have very good stats. Its casting speed and attack animation are slow, and it learns Jungle Law at level 3, which further hinders it.

Etymology[]

Flangonzola is a portmanteau of "flan" and "Gorgonzola".

The word Flan refers to an open pastry or sponge cake containing a sweet or savory filling. A typical flan of this sort is round, with shortcrust pastry, usually coated with sweet syrup. It is similar to a custard tart or a South African melktert.

Gorgonzola is a veined Italian blue cheese.
