The Flan Rojo is an enemy in Final Fantasy X-2. Contrary to the Final Fantasy X enemies, the flans in this game have lowered Defense, and will take normal damage from a regular attack. Any Ice-elemental attacks will work well against it. It is not a particularly big threat.

Fiend Tale
In the Fiend Tale endings, one notable Flan Rojo attempts to fulfill the dream of his father and grandfather of traveling the sea. Prior to making the venture, Flan Rojo was trained by Shinra to be resistant to sea water that normally is deadly to his kind.
Etymology
The word Flan refers to an open pastry or sponge cake containing a sweet or savory filling. A typical flan of this sort is round, with shortcrust pastry, usually coated with sweet syrup. It is similar to a custard tart or a South African melktert.
Rojo is Spanish for "red".
