The Flan Princess is an enemy in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. They appear on the fifth floor of the Lunar Subterrane in the southwest room and only during the full moon.

Battle Edit

Flan Princesses appear in groups of three and are capable of inflicting Berserk on the party. Unlike most flans in the game, they take normal damage from physical attacks but they have very high HP. The Flan Princesses that appear in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years are much easier than the ones that appear in Final Fantasy IV due to the fact that their Samaba De Flan spell only affects one party member at a time, and has a high chance of missing, plus they do not cast it all at once at the very beginning of the battle like they did in the previous game.

Etymology Edit

Flan is an open pastry or sponge cake containing a sweet or savory filling. A typical flan of this sort is round, with shortcrust pastry, usually coated with sweet syrup. It is similar to a custard tart or a South African melktert.
