Flames of Vengeance was a fast-track Challenge Event in Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

Introduction to fast-track Events Edit

Flames of Vengeance was notable for introducing Record Keeper players to the game's fourth Challenge Event layout in its first six months: the fast-track event. As their name implies, these events could be completed in a relatively short period of time.

In a fast-track event, there are no more than four or five initial dungeons so as to highlight the game's standard difficulty gradient; and there are no alternate tracks issued. As a result of what appears to be the "compression" of the event, the rewards from each dungeon tend to be greater and/or rarer than those in standard events. On its surface, the fast-track event behaves in many ways as a Collector's Event would, but without issuing or requiring the use of exclusive currency, or a storefront. Only one scenario thread would be in play from beginning to end.

Event Quests Edit

As of September 21, 2015, Flames of Vengeance became the first event to host Event Quests, providing additional rewards when certain conditions are met during the Event. Quests such as these were sparse, though the concept would later be reused in Cid's Missions.

Scenario Edit

In this special crossover event from Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, players were treated to a sampling of the game's early story quests with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Since Final Fantasy XIV is an MMO, this event marked the first use of characters from such a game within the realm of Record Keeper.
