Flamberge (フランベルジュ, Furanberuju?) is a recurring sword in the series. It is often a low to mid-ranked weapon with mediocre Attack power and no special abilities.

Final Fantasy XIEdit
The Flamberge is a level 69 greatsword designed exclusively for Paladins. Aside from a damage rating of 80, it also boosts MND +2 and Attack +5. It can only be manufactured by smiths.

Flamberge is a second tier weapon available for Lightning. It can be obtained by upgrading a Blazefire Saber with a Perovskite and can be upgraded to the Omega Weapon by using the Trapezohedron item, and provides physical defense as its Chain Ability. It is known as Magnum Blaze in Japan (マグナムブレイズ, Magunamu Bureizu).

Flamberge is a mid-ranked rapier, usable by Fencers, Red Mages, and Elementalists. It provides +35 Attack, +5 Defense, and +2 Speed, and teaches the ability Shadowstick for 200 AP to Fencers, the ability Sliprain for 200 AP to Elementalists, and the ability Poison to Red Mages for 100 AP. It can be brought from Muscadet for 3,750 gil and any other town for 4500 gil.
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the RiftEdit
Flamberge returns as a low-ranked rapier, used by the same classes as previously but with the inclusion of Chocobo Knights. It provides 32 Attack, 5 Defense, and 2 Speed, and teaches the abilities Piercing Blow for 300 AP to Fencers, White Flame for 200 AP to Elementalists, and Blizzard for 150 AP to Red Mages. It can be bought for 620 gil in the shop after creating it in the Bazaar after using a Ice Stone, Sanative Needle, and Moonwood.

Flamberge is a level 22 greatsword that provides +19 Attack and Physical Damage +10%.
Dissidia 012 Final FantasyEdit
The Flamberge returns as a level 1 greatsword with +15 Attack, -2 Defense, and increases Physical Damage +3%.
Flamberge is also the name of one of Lightning's exclusive weapons at level 30. It provides +40 Attack and +5% Defense. It can be traded for 61,000 gil, the Blazefire Saber, a Scarletite, and five Flash's Desires.
