FFIX Amarant Ability

Amarant using a Flair skill.

Use monk techniques.

Flair (奥義, Ōgi?, lit. Secret Technique) is Amarant's skillset. This command has various different skills ranging from healing to crushing monsters, protecting and reviving his fellow party members. Flair skills aren't considered magic, Amarant can use them in Oeilvert.

Casts Auto-Life and Regen on one party member.
Chakra Restores some HP and MP to an ally. Formula is as follows:
HP Restored = [(20 * Target's Max HP) / 100][1]
MP Restored = [(20 * Target's Max MP) / 100]

The HP and MP gain is doubled when equipping the Power Up support ability.

Leather Plate, Cat's Claws 30 4 FFIX Chakra
Restores HP and MP of one party member.
Countdown Casts Doom on an enemy. Has a 50% accuracy. Kaiser Knuckles 40 16 FFIX Countdown
Casts Doom on the enemy.
Curse Makes an enemy weak to a random element. Can be used repeatedly. Mythril Claws, Kaiser Knuckles 20 12 FFIX Curse
Makes the enemy weak against some elemental property.
Demi Shock Inflicts damage to an enemy equal to 20% of their max HP. Formula is as follows:
Damage = [(20 * Target's Max HP) / 100][1]
Rune Claws, Avenger 50 20 FFIX Demi Shock
Amount of damage depends on the enemy's HP.
No Mercy Deals physical damage to an enemy using the following formula:
Base = [(Atk Pwr * 17) / 10] - Target's Defense[1]
Bonus = Str ... [(Lv + Str) / 8] + Str
Damage = Base * Bonus

No Mercy takes on the element of the equipped weapon. In Trance, the damage is increased by ~41% instead of the usual 50% bonus.

Duel Claws, Dragon's Claws 25 12 No Mercy
Causes Non-elemental damage to the enemy.
Revive Revive an ally. Formula for the recovering HP is as follows:
[((Target's Spirit + 20) * Target's Max HP) / 100][1]
Rebirth Ring, Rune Claws, Tiger Fangs 35 20 FFIX Revive
Recover from KO.
Spare Change Throws Gil at the target, damaging it. Formula for Spare Change is as follows:
Gil Used = Amarant's Lv * 101[1]
Damage = [(Gil Used * Gil Used * Spirit) / (Gil Owned * 10)]
Poison Knuckles, Rune Claws 40 0 FFIX Spare Change
Causes Non-elemental damage to the enemy by using Gil.


Trance Command. Use monk techniques.

During Trance, Flair becomes Elan (絶技, Zetsugi?, lit. Ultimate Technique). His Flair abilities are the same, but they now multi-target all allies and enemies rather than just being single target.
