Page 1: ObservationsEdit
- “Being an elemental of flame, born in the midst of a blazing inferno, appearing most often in mountainous regions where life abounds. The strength of flame gives power to much life, and can occasionally be a path to new knowledge. For this reason do alchemists worship fire as the must of creation.”

The Fire Elemental is a very tough enemy to be fought with if the party is overwhelmed by the Wary Wolf's pack or the team of Humbabas in Mosphoran Highwaste. So, eliminating the other enemies in the area is recommended so that the party may escape the Fire Elemental to heal up without the higher risk of casualties.
Before engaging it into battle, the player should bestow Protect and Shell to all party members. If magick isn't really much of a choice, the party should just use regular attacks with Haste and Bravery buffs. The Bravery buff may be bestowed by attacking party members with the Multiscale Measure, which is available for 8,000 gil at the shop in the Babbling Vale.
Two characters should wear the Adamant Hat and Adamant Vest that is available at the shop in the Babbling Vale area. Those armors would make the character halves all Fire-elemental damage, which is a great garment to go against the Fire Elemental. Both of them are recommended to wield the best Katana available or more preferably, the Miter. The Miter is a Mace which deals Water-elemental damage, and best to be equipped by characters with high Magick as the Maces' damage calculation use Magick instead of Strength. Take note that any melee attacks against the Fire Elemental will damages the melee attackers, so Regen and the use of Cura or Hi-Potions can help them fairly well in battle.
The other one should just equip Crossbows instead of Bows for it is fast. Hand-Grenades and Guns are not recommended as the damage dealt wouldn't be as strong. Magick-casting characters must only Water spells as Fire will heal it and it is Immune to other elements. The magick-casters should just equip the Rose Corsage for immunity against it Silence magick. It is highly recommended for the magick-casters with the Serenity Augment or the Magick Gloves equipped for easier infliction Shear for a bunch of times on it and end it with Water Spells. It may or may not bestow itself with Magick Shield, so the Water spell should be cast fast.
