Description
Fire Crystal is an item that can be traded to obtain rank points. Once the rank bar is full, further points will be added to Conquest Points. This can be done upon obtaining rank 2 in the players' home nation. It is dropped by the Bird, Bomb, Bugard, Cardian ("of Swords" only), Cerberus, Cluster, Djinn, Eft, Goblin, Lizard, Orc, Warmachine, Raptor, Troll, and Wamoura monster families. Using a fire cluster will shatter it into 12 fire crystals. It can also be obtained from gardening and Chocobo digging.

Fire Crystal is a loot required to create the Caldera and Chaos Bombs, Chakra Band and Power Vest, Crown of Laurels and Rubber Suit, Fumarole and Poison Bombs, and Tumulus and Oil Bombs. It can be dropped from Bangaa Thief, Bellwyvern, Bune, Cerberus, Deadly Nightshade, Dullahan, Fire Chaosjet, Fire Elemental, Garchimacera, Grenade, Lizard, Mom Bomb, Mu, Mythril Golem, Salamand Entite, Scythe Mantis, and Topstalk (Feywood only). It can be stolen from Cerberus, Deadly Nightshade, Diabolos, Dullahan, Fire Chaosjet, Fire Elemental, Grenade, King Bomb, Marilith, Mythril Golem, Overlord, Roblon, Salamand Entite, and Scythe Mantis. It sells for 160 gil.

Fire Crystal is a high-ranked Fire Shard that can be Scavenged from Limpid Crystal on Zephyr, the Windward Isles and Tormelados, Isle of the Megalith or bought at the Sky Saloon in Chapter 6 for 721 gil (5% discount). It can be used to craft Detonator, Flametongue, Red Halberd, Lava Wand, Pyroblade, Pyrowand, Pyroglide, and Pyrolance.
