The Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Official Benchmark is an official benchmark for the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV, released on April 27, 2015. This benchmark features content from Heavensward, and features as DirectX 11 support and an updated benchmark algorithm.

An updated demo of the character creation mode is included in the benchmark. The full benchmark is 1.6GB GB in .ZIP format and requires 1.83 GB free disk space to install.

The Benchmark Scores[]

Starting the benchmark will cause a cutscene to play. Once the cutscene has completed, a score will be displayed. The score represents how well Final Fantasy XIV is estimated to run on that PC. Unlike the original benchmark program, a performance graph is shown during the test.

Character Creation[]

Like the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Official Benchmark, a character creation tool is included with the benchmark. It has been updated to include the new Au Ra race, as well as new hairstyles available in Heavensward (Aethestician-only customization options not included).

The player may choose either to create a new character or to load existing character data from Final Fantasy XIV or the original benchmark program. Character data saved with this tool can later be used in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward for player character/Retainer character creation.

Whereas the original benchmark depicted the player character as a paladin, this new benchmark depicts them as a dragoon, and has a default male Hyur dragoon available. The outfit options have been expanded to include some gear sets added in recent A Realm Reborn patches as well as showcasing some new armor in the expansion.
