Final Fantasy Wiki:Votes for Featured Articles

From Final Fantasy Wiki

Here's where you can nominate and vote on articles to be featured on the front page.

  • To nominate, simply write your nomination under the Nominees section and sign your posts. A nomination is equal to a vote, and it's one nomination per person.
  • To vote, simply sign with # ~~~~ under the nominees to symbolize your support. You can vote for as many as two nominees at a time. You can always change it at anytime, until the selection date.
  • Once a nominee is selected, we'll clear the nominees section to start a clear slate. You can nominate the same article again one month later. We call it a transition period.
  • You can give your Comments in the section below, but any claims of supporting a nominee does not count until you sign under the Nominees section. Take care!
  • Diablocon has the final say in things: he's in charge of the featured articles. Uweeheehee.

Diablocon - No, the question is; who art thou, ham planks? Shanks! I meant shanks
TALK - 11:46, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Rules:
  1. You may only begin voting when there are at least 5 nominations up.
  2. You must have 150 mainspace or image edits before you can nominate.
  3. Whenever an article from a game is featured, it is striked off this list, meaning articles from that game can no longer be featured this year.
  • I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII
  • FFIVA, FFX-2, FFXII:RW, FFT, FFTA, FFTA2, FFCC, FFCC:RoF, FFCC:MLaK

Here are some things to consider when nominating:

  • Is the article detailed enough?
  • Does it have red links or links to disambigs? If so, can they be fixed?
  • Does the article have enough images? Does it look nice?

If your article has any problems with the above criteria, please either refrain from nominating it or fix it up so it is up to scratch. Remember that the Featured Article is representing the best this wiki has to offer, not just a popularity contest.

If your nomination has no votes after being up for four days, you may remove it and still use it next month. However, this offer is only good for the next four days, afterwards your nomination stays (day limits are subject to change until I can find good lengths).

  2. I was going to nominate Exdeath again, but him and Ultimecia pretty much fall into the same boat. - +DeadlySlashSword+ 21:02, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
  3. She was an awesome villian, and she had the most forms out of any final boss in the main series, plus had 3 battle themes. She even has an awesome Dissidia Character than only succeeded in doubling her badassness. MadHatter1284 21:06, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Comments

Woah, that '10 looks weird. New year, new slate. Diablocon 10:43, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

I actually wasn't sure about nominating Garland, since in Final Fantasy he doesn't give much to work with for an article. But I expanded and restructured it as best I could, and think it turned out alright. Drake Clawfang 11:46, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Potion (Energy Drink) was suggested twice. FaythOfFenrir 16:05, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

So it was. Doesn't necesarilly mean it's right. The rules aren't very clear...  ILHI (W/B) 16:11, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
The rules state that "You can nominate the same article again one month later." It's one month later now, isn't it? Jeppo (Talk) 16:51, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
But Diablo said you can't vote the same article twice in a row however long ago. Also I think that's obvious enough to not need to be in the rules.  ILHI (W/B) 18:58, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

I actually really wanted to nominate FF7 Snowboarding because of the Olympics, but that article will never become anything but puny. JohnnyC

Ah, damn, I missed the nomination period - wanted to try Basch out again ("Basch lives!"). Oh well. Anyway, was considering voting for Battle of the Gardens as it really is a good article, but I'd never noticed how good the Ultimecia article is. Surprisingly so. So it gets the vote, methinks. - Paramina 20:50, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Hm, two of my articles nominated. Seems I've been doing something right. Netherith 08:38, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
