The Staff Noticeboard works to have your requests for staff action fulfilled. Just write your requests on the sections listed below, and we'll try to have the staff sort things out before the end of the week. Don't forget to include the timestamp.
Discussions can continue within a week of the Done timestamp, after which the request and discussion will be archived. We request that users not modify the archive content.
Note to Staff: Please place this project page under your watchlist. When done, please place a Done timestamp by putting the {{Y}} on the header and your timestamp. Comments are optional but encouraged.
Find the images you replaced and open the edit form on the file's page. Insert the {{Dup}} template. In the first parameter input the filename of the replacement file that you uploaded for each image. 79.69.206.67 19:28, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, never mind. Sorry Murilo, you uploaded over the old images, so staff does not need to delete any images. My bad :/ (Cat + meow)(RC + Sbox) = FFW 20:17, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
A little while back all videos not in use were purged; since then, Wikia has made a Special:UnusedVideos page, which is full of useless videos. Kill them all? (Cat + meow)(RC + Sbox) = FFW 06:54, February 3, 2013 (UTC)
Mass amount of (insert celebrity name here) as (insert FFVII character name here) images needing deletion, please! Tia-Lewise 16:17, February 28, 2013 (UTC)
Requesting to delete this page SQUAREMUSICS because I'm intended to make User:Squaremusics, but it seems to be wrong.
13:02, April 10th, 2013 / (GMT +7).
Hold on, I'll just move that page to where it's supposed to be. Also, signiatures are done with 4 tildes here (~~~~). -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 07:22, April 10, 2013 (UTC)
There's a ton of useless Uncategorizedimages that need killing. Might want to wait until the article they're on is deleted, though. (Cat + meow)(RC + Sbox) = FFW 04:23, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
Not sure why "Final Fantasy: Unlimited After" was deleted. --Shockstorm (talk) 02:32, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
I'm going to guess it was nuked because of this article text, this being one of two edits to the page (the second was putting a deletion template on it):
Final Fantasy: Unlimited After picks up where Final Fantasy VII leaves off.
It is especially known for its crude humor (and being the first Final Fantasy game to have a paramount focus on comedy) in the vain of American Pie and Old School as well as incorporating pedophilic humor a la Lolita.
The game received negative reviews upon its initial release due to its defamatory remarks towards most of the women in the game as well as some very vulgar scenes of necrophilia (i.e. the protagonist using Anima's skull to perform fellatio).
Unlimited After was also the first Final Fantasy game to receive an M rating for its adult themes and for a hidden sex scene available after the final boss fight.
This game has been banned in the U.S., Nicaragua, Guatemala, Hungary, Cambodia, Ho Chi Minh City, Nigeria, Chad and Cuba.
Just a guess. Jimcloud 02:57, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
Pretty sure Zalera and Zalera (Summon) need to have their histories and talk pages merged. --Shockstorm (talk) 21:31, October 20, 2012 (UTC)
Y Done. Merged the main pages. Talk pages don't need to merged I don't think, but if you really think they should be, I can do it. ScatheMote 03:15, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
Hiroyuki Ito and Hiroyuki Itō need to be merged as somebody decided to do a cut/paste job instead of a move and now the history's split between the two pages. Not sure which page is supposed to be the correct spelling though. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 14:57, May 11, 2013 (UTC)
Hiroyuki Ito - There is a lot of see-sawing going on here. I don't care who's right, but the edit warring needs to stop. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 18:14, May 13, 2013 (UTC)
68.52.196.196 - continues to ignore requests to use the preview button and stop removing content. --Shockstorm (talk) 01:18, October 24, 2012 (UTC)
I suspect User:Annewbiz and User:Teenwerewolf to be the same user. Waiting for a response from Teenwerewolf, but sockpuppetry may be afoot. Tia-Lewise 17:07, November 5, 2012 (UTC)
68.12.122.230 wants us to know how many boners he had playing FFIII. Unfortunately for him, that's vandalism. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 00:33, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
Y I've locked the page for a day. The person doesn't seem to mean harm, but the edit warring is counterproductive. ScatheMote 22:34, November 28, 2012 (UTC)
I think you're right. Kinda overreacted so sorry 'bout that. ;_; —Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 22:37, November 28, 2012 (UTC)
I figure a block will go through the second an admin shows up, but just to make sure: 74.63.86.220: Repeated page blanking, harassing other users and ban skipping. Should probably also extend the block on vandal's original IP as well. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 09:06, December 27, 2012 (UTC)
112.209.145.71 has been vandalising Hexxy's walkthrough. Tia-Lewise 15:51, February 15, 2013 (UTC)
The Oasis look: it has a drop down menu which has links to various games and Dimensions is still in "Future Releases". I don't know what is the link to edit it, however.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 08:09, October 21, 2012 (UTC)
Y Ah, I see. Done. — YuanSalutActa 08:42, October 21, 2012 (UTC)
"Always be civil. Flaming is strongly discouraged, and repeated offences will net you tests and possibly a ban."
Tests should be warnings since we no longer use the test system. Also, in the directory:
" #FFWiki (general discussion), #wikia (main Wikia IRC channel), #wikia-vstf (if someone needs blocking and the staff are not around)."
#wikia is all but dead, as Wikia has moved their stuff to ##wikia and w:Special:Chat (which only works in Oasis). (Cat + meow)(RC + Sbox) = FFW 20:55, October 20, 2012 (UTC)
The Oasis nav, the Manual of Style, and the classcodes need to be updated for this rename by Square Enix. (Cat + meow)(RC + Sbox) = FFW 18:58, December 1, 2012 (UTC)
Y Done. I didn't change the classcodes since I didn't think it was necessary, but I will change them if sufficient reasoning to change them is brought up. ScatheMote 21:12, December 1, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. But I have one small nickname: the game is called Final Fantasy: Airborne Brigade not Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade. (Cat + meow)(RC + Sbox) = FFW 21:33, December 1, 2012 (UTC)
Ummm, it's now Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade without the colon (:): don't know if it was changed already, but might as well inform you.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 11:49, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
The top navigation bar used to have a "Popular Pages" section under Directory that showed the wiki's most visited pages. Now it has changed to "TopContent" that leads to a non-existent article.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 12:44, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
Oasis is being screwy for me. Does that fix it? Basically Wikia removed one of their SystemMessages (at "MediaWiki:TopContent") and changed another one... which has hashes in its title which means we can't edit it. JBed (talk) 13:00, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
Well it no longer goes to a non-existent page, but it doesn't have a drop down menu and it's not the same list that was here yesterday. XP Lightning Returns was supposed to be the most visited article and it's not near the top of the list at all. Maybe that's like "most visited of all time" as opposed to the "most visited right now" that it was before.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 14:40, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
Oh. Okay, I think I know the problem. Basically, as I said they have system messages with hashes in that we can't edit. [link]. These message auto-generate content. Which is why we can't edit them.
But it has stopped working and it is just generating the text give there. I can't see any of this because Oasis isn't working.
So for now this is the best we can do until it starts working. The fault is not on our end (supposing other wikis have the same issue, I can't check). JBed (talk) 14:48, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
No, wait, Oasis is working again. Aaaand it works on other wikis. I'll investigate further. JBed (talk) 14:55, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
I'll give it a couple of days to fix itself, and then I'll report it to central if it's still being dumb. It's just decided not to work on this wiki, while other auto-generated dropdowns do and it does work on other wikis. JBed (talk) 15:27, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
