Moogles are a recurring race in the Final Fantasy series. They have appeared in most games since Final Fantasy III. They are small cute creatures that are generally helpful. In the same respect, they are very intelligent. They usually have white fur and red or pink wings, and a colored "pom-pom" sticking out of their head. Nobuo Uematsu (植松 伸夫) is a prolific composer of video game music, most well known for his work on the Final Fantasy series. Nobuo Uematsu was born on March 21, 1959 in Kochi City, Japan. He started to play music at the age of twelve when, inspired by Elton John, he taught himself how to play the piano. He started his professional career writing music for commercials after graduating from Kanagawa University. He joined Square Co., Ltd. in 1986 and began composing music for video games. He parted ways with Square, now Square Enix, in 2004. (more...)

Ramza Beoulve is the main protagonist from Final Fantasy Tactics. He is a member of House Beoulve, which is well respected due to the actions of his father Barbaneth Beoulve, a Heavenly Knight of the Fifty Years' War. He has one sister, named Alma, whom he loves dearly and is very close to. He has two half-brothers as well, General Zalbaag of the Order of the Northern Sky, and Dycedarg who serves directly under Duke Larg. (more...)

Baron is a location in Final Fantasy IV. It is the homeland of Cecil Harvey, Kain Highwind, Rosa Farrell and her mother, and Cid Pollendina and his daughter. It is a monarchy. It had both a castle and a city. It is one of the only nations in the world with the technology to build airships thanks to the research done by Cid, and has an elite squadron known as the Red Wings initially commanded by Cecil. The Dragoons are entrusted with defending the castle, and they are led by Kain. Baron also trains a squadron of Black and White Mages, and the White Mages are led by Rosa. The Triple Triad is a popular card game in Final Fantasy VIII. Much like Tetra Master from Final Fantasy IX, the cards of the Triple Triad depict different monsters who have different stats. It is a side quest and you do not need to play cards to beat the game, however all the cards obtained can be modded into items using Quezacotl's Card Mod ability. Some of the games rarest items can only be found by modding a card. (more...)

Beatrix is a temporary player character from Final Fantasy IX. She is the top general in the all female army of Alexandria. At first, she seems loyal only to Queen Brahne, but after some convincing from Zidane that Brahne does not care about Garnet, she joins forces with Zidane and his friends to save the world from Kuja. She is in love with Steiner, and mistakenly thinks a love letter she finds was written from Steiner to her. In battle, she is a Paladin, and uses the Save the Queen sword, which only she can use. Gilgamesh is a recurring character in the Final Fantasy series. Gilgamesh considers himself a master swordsman and collector of rare swords, and often exchanges the legendary sword Excalibur for a bad forgery called the Excalipoor. He dresses in garish clothing, and has more bark than bite. Gilgamesh is not an evil person, though - he often just joins the evil side because he wants a challenging, although not too challenging fight. Gilgamesh's first appearance was in Final Fantasy V, where he was a lieutenant for the main antagonist Exdeath, but later helped out the protagonists. His Final Fantasy V appearance has gained him considerable popularity as a character, and he frequently appears in some of the remakes of older Final Fantasy titles. Gilgamesh's most recent appearance was as a Summon in Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. (More...)

He is first encountered on the Blackjack when the party is attempting to attack the Floating Continent.
