Final Fantasy IV the After: Tsuki no Kikan, roughly translated as Return of the Moon, is the sequel to Final Fantasy IV, released in Japan on February 18, 2008. The game was released for the NTT Docomo FOMA 903i series of phones. The story is set 17 years after Final Fantasy IV, and focuses on Cecil's son Ceodore and the return of the second moon.
[edit] Story[edit] Prologue: Return of the MoonReleased on the 18th of February 2008. After the events of Final Fantasy IV, the Red Moon leaves the Blue Planet. Peace has returned to Earth as kingdoms and towns are rebuilt. However, seventeen years later, trouble was stirring, and the Crystals have begun to emit a soft light. In the sky, the other moon has reappeared, much closer to the Blue Planet than it was years ago... [edit] Chapter 1: CeodoreReleased on the 18th of February 2008. Ceodore, the prince of Baron, joins the Red Wings, and obtains the title of Knight. He struggles to prove his worth as heir to the royal bloodline. During his first expedition with the Red Wings, he witnesses the return of the moon. When monsters attacked, he was aided by a mysterious man. Is he the obstacle in Ceodore's path...?
[edit] Chapter 2: RydiaReleased on the 17th of March 2008. Rydia, the last summoner from Mist Village, tries to restore her hometown, and after visiting the land of summons, she notices that everyone has been turned into stone. When leaving the cave, she finds Luca, the Dwarf princess, who warns her that the Dwarves' Dark Crystal was stolen. After knowing this, Rydia heads to the Sealed Cave alongside Luca and her dolls on the Airship Falcon, hoping to be able to protect the crystal inside...
[edit] Chapter 3: YangReleased on the 9th of April 2008. Yang, the new ruler of Fabul, rules his kingdom alongside the monks he leads. Ursula, Yang's daughter and princess of Fabul, is training alone at the top of Mount Hobbs when she detects the Red Wing's battalion heading towards her kingdom...
[edit] Chapter 4: PalomReleased on the 1st of May 2008. After the fall and success of Tellah, the Great Sage, Palom of Mysidia desires to follow in his footsteps. He journeys to Troia, a quiet metropolis of forest and water governed by eight Shinto priestesses. Along with him travels the young priestess, Leonora, whom he is training in the black arts. But why would Troia, such a peaceful metropolis, be in need of Black Magic? Disaster draws near...
[edit] Chapter 5: EdgeReleased on the 28th of May 2008 Following his fallen parents' wishes, Edge succeds to the throne of Eblan. After restoring the Kingdom of Eblan with the help of its people, Edge helped in the reconstruction of the Village of Mist. One day, the Tower of Babil, which towered it's surroundings on the Eblana continent, began to shine with a strange light...

[edit] Chapter 7: Gilbart[edit] GameplayThe gameplay, while retaining the same RPG aspects, has two new features:
Physical and magic attacks of both players and enemies are affected by the phases of the moon in the real world. For example, when there is a full moon, weapon attack power decreases, while magic attacks increase.
Certain abilities that cost MP can be used freely when certain characters are in the party. For example, Cecil can execute Holy Blade when Rosa is in the party. [edit] Characters
